I, practice and rejoice the vase, and the ritual of offering the mandala. First, there are two parts: purifying the land and guarding the land. The first is to examine the land and purify it after digging, as described in the Vajra Dakini. For land that does not require purification by digging, etc., purification should be done as described in that (Vajra Dakini) and the Compendium of Teachings. Regarding the question of the mandala, use cow dung that is heavy and does not float, i.e., does not fall to the ground. The land where the mandala will be built should be smeared with it. This indicates that the remaining cow dung is also included, so smear with five types of cow dung. If you think, is that enough? It should also be mixed with the ashes of corpses burned in the cemetery. Not only that, but also add half of the immortal substance, i.e., the five ambrosias. Smear the mandala land with these, and these indicate the purification of the land. On the smeared land, the mandala should be drawn correctly. The base of the tsampa should always be used in the cemetery, or if it is not a cemetery, the land should be visualized as a cemetery, and then the mandala should be drawn, it should be added in this way. The second sentence does not appear in the Ma translation, but it does appear in both the Lo chen and Mardo translations, which indicates that the Sanskrit original is different, and it should not be said that it does not exist in the Sanskrit original just because it does not appear in one Sanskrit version. Second, according to Lama Mar's saying, from "with the skull on the crown of the head" to "become armor" these are considered to be guarding the land, which is in accordance with the explanation tantra, so it is good. As it is said in the Compendium of Teachings: The master prays to the one with the nature of the deity, he holds the vajra bell and expels the demons, therefore it is considered to be guarding. It is also said in the Vajra Dakini: In the land ritual, visualize yourself as the Great Wrathful One, after the pegs are inserted, make a net of arrows, a fence of vajras, and a land of vajras, these seem to be the purpose of the root tantra. Therefore, first is the master's attire: decorate the crown of the head, i.e., the hair that grows on the head, with a garland of skulls painted with the images of the five Buddha families, and smear the whole body with cremation ashes and the five ambrosias, and decorate your body with mudras such as earrings and necklaces. Adorn the body with curved knives, etc.

Some come from elsewhere, but it is better to change to mudra. Regarding the word "bone rosary," the great translator said, "The bone rosary truly abides on the bone." This is how it is translated, and its meaning is that it is decorated with bone ornaments, and it is worn for the offering of bones. A wheel made of a single skull adorns the top of the head, and the strands of bone rosary hang down, which is a necklace of fifty heads. The khatvanga is located at the elbow of the left hand, and it is the master himself who is dressed as the glorious Blood-Drinker Heruka in the center of the mandala. After doing that, one must remember the glorious Blood-Drinker, which is to practice his sadhana. Generate the fortunate one as Heruka, and generate the Samaya Being, remembering him is to remember the Wisdom Being. Meditating on Heruka, placing the wheel of thirty-seven deities in the places of the body mandala, represented by the heart, shows the meditation on the body mandala. After entering in that way, distinguish the order of meditating on the inner mandala, and at the end of the meditation, you must do things such as destroying obstacles. After destroying the original obstacles in that way, in order to prevent obstacles from entering in the future, you must place vajra fences in all directions and corners, not only arranging them in all directions, but also arranging weapons underground that touch the golden ground, to make various vajra foundations. Marpa Dorje's translation says: "The nature of the wheel, weapons are equal." The translation of the two translators says: "Wheel, garland of weapons." However, the great translator's translation says: "After arranging the nature of the wheel, do as it appears above, etc." It means that after arranging the nature of the protective wheel in all directions and underground, an arrow net must be made on top. After making the arrow net on top, again the dakini, that is, making a vajra tent on top, this will become an armor that prevents oneself from being invaded by obstacles. Some commentators say that after inviting the Wisdom Being from above and dissolving it into the Samaya Being, a tent should be made again on top. Because the tent has not been made before this, it is unreasonable. As mentioned before, if those armors are distributed in that way, then even the king of the gods of the Thirty-Three (त्रयस्त्रिंश, trayastriṃśa, thirty-three) cannot penetrate it.
