If asked what emptiness and compassion are, it is necessary to explain the meaning of these two. There are two here: explaining the meaning of emptiness and compassion of bliss-emptiness indivisibility; and explaining the meaning of emptiness and compassion of two truths indivisibility. The first is: The shape of the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: none) and the Dharmadhatu is triangular, thus symbolizing the suchness of selflessness. At that time, the triangle also symbolizes the three doors of liberation. Because the nature, cause, and effect of all dharmas are empty by nature, the meaning of emptiness of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness is the symbolic meaning of the A, therefore, if there is no thorough view of emptiness, the meaning of the A is not complete. Even if there is, if there is no great bliss arising from pressing the key points of the inner and outer body, the meaning of the Va (Tibetan: ཝ, Sanskrit Devanagari: व, Sanskrit Romanization: va, Chinese literal meaning: wind) is not complete. Even if both of these are present, if one cannot transform the view of emptiness into the nature of melting bliss, and make emptiness the object and great bliss the subject, thereby determining that it will not be reversed, one cannot perfectly combine bliss and emptiness, then the meaning of the bindu is not complete. Therefore, if one wants to understand the meaning of bliss-emptiness indivisible Avam (Tibetan: ཨ་ཝཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: avam, Chinese literal meaning: ), one must understand these. There are three here: explaining the meaning of emptiness; explaining the meaning of bliss; and explaining how to combine bliss-emptiness indivisibly. The first has three: identifying the root of samsara; showing in a similar way how to seek the view of selflessness that prevents it; refuting the view that they are different. The first is: In the Compendium of Conduct, it says: Thus, sentient beings are separated from virtuous friends, because they have not fully understood the suchness of their own minds, they cling to I, cling to mine, and rely on nourishing and accumulating, thereby relying on good and non-good, etc., therefore, they have been experiencing suffering from beginningless time. That is to say, due to the delusion of clinging to truth without understanding the suchness of the mind, relying on clinging to the self of the person and what belongs to the self, they revolve in samsara, and accomplish it through the Eight Thousand Verses and the purification of karmic obscurations, etc. To clearly illustrate its meaning, the venerable Nagarjuna said: If all of this is emptiness, and is the nature of unborn, then happiness and suffering, etc., enter here, how do they revolve in samsara by karma?

. As soon as self-grasping arises, defilements such as desire, having been examined, come under the control of others. All of these are only mind; they truly arise as illusions. Thereafter, virtuous and non-virtuous actions cause birth in happy and unhappy realms. Thus it is taught. The disciple of the Protector, Great Bliss, Vajra Without Limbs, also said: From those arise, birth and death and so forth greatly increase, those who cling to the untrue, are born in a cycle of extreme suffering. Those of meager wisdom, as long as there is great grasping at reality, remain in the prison of existence. Thus, by the power of grasping at reality, clinging to the untrue as true, one revolves in samsara, and as long as the grasping at reality exists, one will not be liberated from samsara. This is what is said in the Precious Garland: As long as there is grasping at the aggregates, there is self-grasping. If there is self-grasping, there is also action, and from that there is birth. Thus, if one does not prevent grasping at the aggregates as real, birth will not cease due to the power of karma and afflictions, which is similar to this. The second is: Therefore, in order to train to exhaust the imprints of grasping at reality, the root of samsara, not only is it necessary to realize emptiness, realizing that the aggregates are without inherent existence, but also, in order to cut the bonds of samsara by the power of karma and afflictions, wisdom that realizes the absence of inherent existence is indispensable. Therefore, even the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas who have cut the bonds of samsara have previously meditated on that meaning. These have already been explained extensively elsewhere. Therefore, in the Commentary on the Mind of Enlightenment, it says: Those who do not know emptiness, those are not a support for liberation. In the prison of the six realms of existence, those deluded ones will wander. And, Vajra Without Limbs also said: Therefore, the three realms of beings, who desire to be happy, who desire to eliminate delusion, those with virtuous friends should abandon grasping at reality. As it is said, not only those of the Characteristic Vehicle, but also those entering the Vajra Vehicle, in order to abandon grasping at reality, the root of samsara, must seek the understanding of the view of emptiness of selflessness and meditate on its meaning. Thus, in the Vajra Essence Ornament Tantra it says: Yogis, having understood one by one, in solitude
