That which possesses the wind of consciousness, I also transform several times for the sake of sentient beings through the order of blessings. Just as from a clear river, fish quickly leap up. Likewise, it is said that all things arise from the empty clarity as a net of illusion. Thus, this body also arises only from the wind-mind, through the order of my blessings, like a clear river, from the clear light, like a fish suddenly leaping up, the example of the pure illusory body arising is said to be consistent with arising from the clear light without any other interruption. In the Collected Practices, the example of quickly waking up from sleep is given, sleep is an example of clear light, and waking up is an example of the arising of the union body from it, which is also consistent with no interruption. The four emptinesses become one, and in the direct order, the former dissolves into the latter, and finally it is consistent with the meaning of becoming one in clear light. It is not consistent with the reverse order, and in the order of what is to be purified, the achievement of the intermediate state is very similar to the achievement of the near attainment immediately after the clear light of death. Although the union body is achieved as soon as one wakes up from the meaning clear light of the fourth stage, it is not contradictory that the near attainment and so on arise from the clear light as before. Although it is said that three emptinesses appear in reverse order at the time of achieving union, it is not said for the sake of achieving that body. If union is not the simultaneous gathering of the mind of the meaning clear light and the pure illusory body, although it is allowed to achieve the pure illusory body as soon as one wakes up from the clear light of the fourth stage, how can it be established as union since there is no real clear light wisdom at that time? Indeed, one needs to know the many ways of uniting in five stages. That is, samsara and nirvana, by abandoning the two thoughts, where things become one, it is said to be union. From form and formlessness, by abandoning the two thoughts, whoever has the power of peaceful awareness yoga, that is the attainment of union. Thus, twenty-one unions are explained. Here, the verse "Holding as a whole" explains two unions, and the verse "Equanimity and"

It is done by showing the two unions in sections, and it is permissible to make twenty-three unions. The main point of the union explained in this way is: In the 'Cutting Through,' it says: 'Knowing that, the four stages in order, self-blessing and clear light, whatever gathers only those, this is the order of union.' Thus, self-blessing and clear light are explained as a pair, and the gathering of the two is explained as a union. And, 'Conventional and ultimate, knowing the distinctions separately, wherever they truly mix, that is explained as union.' Thus, the conventional and the ultimate are explained as a pair, and the mixing of the two is said to be a union. Here, before obtaining the clear light of meaning, when there is an illusory body accomplished from the five winds, lights, and rays, there is no clear light in which the mind and the ultimate truth become one. Before obtaining union, when there is clear light in which the mind of bliss and the ultimate become one, there is no conventionality in which the body becomes an illusory body, so there is no union because it is established alternately. When the body is called self-blessing, which is the ultimate of the conventional illusory body, and the mind is called clear light, which is the ultimate of the ultimate truth, when the two gather at the same time in one continuum, then there is no alternate establishment, but they gather together, so union is obtained. Although it is necessary for the two to gather at the same time when the main point of such a union is first obtained, there are other ways of establishing it as a union, and it is not necessary to establish it as a union by that way of establishing it for anyone who has obtained union. The Sanskrit word for union is Yuganaddha, where Yuga is a pair and Naddha is not two, that is, the two branches are not two by way of alternate establishment, but gather at the same time, which is the union mentioned earlier. This is obtained when one rises from the last appearance of the reverse order and enters the clear light again. For the two dharmas such as samsara and nirvana, after abandoning the conceptualization of two, the non-duality that is indivisible by conceptualization becomes the five stages of union, which are said to be many, and it is established as a union by another way of establishing it other than the previous way. If those conceptualizations are said to be pacified in the face of the direct realization of the meaning of Suchness, then it has already been obtained from the time of the clear light of the fourth stage, so,
