It is wind. The second is the upward-moving wind that resides in the throat. The third is the downward-clearing wind that resides in the genitals. When they can be mixed in the throat through Vajra recitation, the knot at the center of its chakra is loosened. The essence of the Mind Vajra has three letters, namely ha (ཧ, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, literal Chinese meaning: ha), u (ཨུ, Devanagari: उ, Romanized Sanskrit: u, literal Chinese meaning: wu), and ma (མ, Devanagari: म, Romanized Sanskrit: ma, literal Chinese meaning: ma). The first is the downward-clearing wind. The second is the upward-moving wind. The third is the life wind, which resides at the center of the wind chakra between the eyebrows. When they can be mixed in the heart through Vajra recitation, the knot of the central channel in the heart is loosened, and with its power, other knots are also loosened. The necessity of collecting the mantras of body, speech, and mind is also the same. Among these, which is the main one? The seed syllable of the mind is the master. Among all, there is no conceptualization. Because the main others are diminished and taken away. The two winds of conceptualization pervade the entire body. Thus, it is said that the seed syllable of the mind is the main one. The two winds of conceptualization are the two winds of life and downward-clearing. The vessel knot, by the power of preventing those two from flowing within the central channel, generates eighty types of conceptualization of nature, and when the knot is loosened and those two flow in the central channel, the flow of wind in the ro rang (rwa rkyang) naturally stops, and the fire of the navel naturally blazes, so bliss arises naturally, and the conceptualization of the mind's movement naturally stops. Likewise, it is said: Here, two lotuses are spoken of. Sixty-four and eight double petals. Looking up and down, relying on the limbs above and below, the life wind and the downward-clearing wind flow within them. That very reality is constant, clearly spoken of as two winds. The two essences of body and speech. Thus, and because it is recited, the lotus of the heart also looks up and is afraid. Then the secret lotus, after joining and opening, the two winds of conceptualization, from then on, separate and go. Thus it is said. The two petals are those of the navel and the heart. That is, the heart chakra looks downward, and the navel chakra looks upward. Therefore, all the activities of achieving bliss through burning and dripping, as spoken of in other tantras such as practicing tummo, are Vajra recitation.
