False meditative practices, and false recitations, all such false things, should be abandoned by way of natural yoga. Outward false actions are for the purpose of realizing the nature. Thus, it is said with the example of a boat. Therefore, the generation stage, the contemplation stage, and the artificial yoga are the names of the first stage. The completion stage, the non-contemplation stage, and the real yoga are the names of the second stage. The three, such as generation, are generated, contemplated, and fabricated by the mind, so by analogy, completion is not repeated contemplation, but completion or accomplishment. So, what is the meaning of accomplishment or non-accomplishment by the power of mental fabrication? In this regard, both stages similarly rely on some means in their respective contexts to accomplish the deity's body, but the way of accomplishing is different. Thus, in the generation stage, one accomplishes oneself as the deity's body through the means of vowels and consonants, and the moon and sun arising from them, seed syllables, and hand symbols, etc., which is merely generating and contemplating with the mind. In the completion stage, by the power of the white and red bodhicitta, which are symbolized by vowels and consonants, and the moon and sun, etc., and by the power of making the winds workable, the wisdom of the three, appearance, increase, and attainment, is manifested, and from that, the deity's body arises from mere wind and mind, like an illusion, so it is accomplished as the deity's body without being contemplated or fabricated by the mind. Therefore, the means of accomplishing the body in the generation stage is also fabricated by the mind, and the deity's body arising from that means is also artificial. The means of accomplishing the deity's body in the completion stage, such as the yoga of channels, winds, and bindus, is also not fabricated by the mind, and through that means, emptiness is manifested, and at the end of that, the appearance as the deity's body is also not contemplated by the mind. Considering this, the Compendium of Conduct says: Starting from the generation stage, up to the ultimate end of the completely isolated body, the three vajras, etc., are merely more devoted to the characteristics, so even in the completely isolated body, there is no form of the deity. Thus, it is said that before obtaining the illusory body, in the stages of the three isolations and the generation stage, there is nothing other than the deity's body that is merely believed in by the mind. Therefore, the deity's body of the three isolations is the completion

It is merely included in the category of the ground, not the actual body of wisdom. If that were the case, since the deity's body can be generated solely through the methods of the completion stage, such as the yoga of wind and bindu, which are symbolized by letters and so on, what is the use of artificially generating the deity's body through methods such as letters, hand gestures, and the sun and moon? That is not the case, because without becoming accustomed to artificial methods, one cannot perfect non-artificial methods, and therefore, what arises from method cannot manifest what arises from non-artificial methods without becoming accustomed to artificial methods. Considering this, as quoted earlier, the example of a boat was given. For example, some people who want to enjoy food and drink in a place on the other side of a river are separated by the water and cannot enjoy it, so they rely on a boat to reach the other shore. Similarly, those who want to enjoy the enjoyment of the completion stage are also separated by the water of ordinary appearance and attachment and cannot enjoy it, so they rely on the boat of the generation stage to reach the shore of reversing ordinary appearance and attachment. Just as a boat is a method for reaching the other shore, and another method is needed to achieve the enjoyment of food and drink, the generation stage is also what ripens the continuum for the arising of the completion stage, and other methods are needed for the emptiness of the completion stage and the enjoyment of the deity's body, such as the yoga of wind and bindu. This shows that both the generation stage must be brought to completion and that it is not sufficient to rely solely on the generation stage. Therefore, in the yoga of generating the deity, although it may seem that there is only the generation of the deity's body through methods such as letters, hand gestures, and the moon, the ability to arrange a special interdependent connection that ripens the continuum for the arising of the meaning of those methods, such as tummo and the yoga of bindu, through those methods is not found in anything other than the unsurpassable. Because something like that is called the generation stage, the lower tantra classes do not have a generation stage. If the root tantras of those have a presentation of the generation stage, then for that vajra word, there can also be two explanations, direct and indirect, so it must be accepted that there are both the generation and completion stages. This is a collection from the Wisdom Vajra All-Gathering.
