He sent offerings of wool cloth to Tsang, and also requested teachings on Manjushri and Garuda practice at Bari. He requested teachings on the early translations from Geshe Spo. Then, at the age of thirty-five, he went to Gyangtse in the Ngomshö region. At the pass of Pukpoche, a Geshe Tsankha Bochhe, who had just come from India, was invited by a woman named Jomo, who said there were Dharma, food, and entertainment. When he arrived early the next morning, a woman said, "If you go up from Chawa along this path, there is a teacher named Sogom who is generous in providing food." When he arrived, a group of yogis had already arrived and offered hot drinks. They were also distributing tsampa with flour copper pots, and after giving it to them. Then he said, "There is also a new person." Then he filled a pot of water in return. He sprinkled water and then took him to Pukchung Zura. He gave a bowl of mustard greens. That night he also gave food and then slept under a rock. The next morning, when he was thinking of leaving, he gave food again and said, "I have a young attendant who went to Zothang to get gold, but couldn't because of the heavy rain. Chop some firewood." So he carried a large load of firewood from the forest. Sogom was very pleased and explained the instructions on the Great Seal Mudra, and the Great Perfection Seven Branches of Self-Arising. There, he also became an attendant. Because we had not arrived, the teacher was worried about us and said, "Your seat is ready, stay a few more days." He went around Yarlung once again and came back. There, he realized that Sogom was an extraordinary person and did not go home, but begged for alms in the Ön and Sangri areas. He bought a measuring container. Then, he offered a container of grain to Sogom. The teacher said, "You have served me, that is enough. Use this to fill your stomach. I have an instruction called Vajra Bridge, which can understand the meaning in an instant, and in one body, in one lifetime, the lineage of attaining Buddhahood without remainder, which has never been broken. Before this, I have never told anyone. Now I will give it to you." Then he insisted on offering it and said: "This is a praise to the teacher himself. Please keep the instructions in your heart, I will go and find food." Then, he held the top of his head with his left hand and tapped the back of his neck with his right hand, saying, "Oh, you are a person with vows. The instructions will help you." There, Lochung recited the mantra.

Someone gave a practice method of Red Yamari (Tibetan: གཤིན་རྗེ་དམར་པོ།), and as a result, eight khals of beans were obtained. By protecting in milk and curd for about a day, sufficient practice provisions were found. There, in order to request the blessing of the Vajra Bridge, without gathering the accumulation of offerings, the master said, "Give the blessing now, later there will be obstacles." In Gangbar (Tibetan: གངས་བར།), when going to ask a friend for the price of a ewe that had been entrusted before, one obtained a skirt of Machik (Tibetan: མ་ཇོ།). The patterns of the skirt were separated and sold. Relying on the residue of chang and five bre of torma, he said, "Use the money for the lamp during the day," and then fully bestowed the four empowerments of the path of liberation, giving all the key instructions. Afterwards, he also requested blessings about four times, and sent offerings of barley and gold, etc., five times. After a while, he said, "All these appearances are of the nature of falsehood," and slapped a water stone with his palm, sinking up to his elbow. Again, when the body was leaned back, mud-like traces were left on the rock, forming a depression. From the upper part of the small cave, many fir pillars were cut down with an axe, saying, "This is the wood for the cave of Jomo's temple." From such a master, all the Vajra Bridge teachings were obtained, and also Atisha's Lamrim, etc. Similarly, from Yumo (Tibetan: ཡུ་མོ།), the six yogas were obtained, from Khampa Lungpa (Tibetan: ཁམས་པ་ལུང་པ།), the eight session practices, from the student of Neu Zurpa (Tibetan: སྣེའུ་ཟུར་པ།), the three meditation practices, from Shobu Lotsawa (Tibetan: ཤོད་བུ་ལོ་ཙཱ་བ།), the small commentary, from Geshe Drolgom (Tibetan: དགེ་བཤེས་གྲོལ་སྒོམ།), he inquired about the Six Dharmas of Naropa, and explained the Vajra Bridge to him. When sick, with lamp offerings and backrests; at Dzabor (Tibetan: རྫ་བོར།), he obtained the Three Drops of Nectar; in retreat, from Lungchung (Tibetan: རླུང་ཆུང།), the three sections of the Yoga Tantra; from Lungdam Chenpo (Tibetan: རླུང་དམ་ཆེན་པོ།), the key instructions of the Dohas; from Labdron (Tibetan: ལབ་སྒྲོན།), the Chöd practice; from Gyalwa Soton (Tibetan: རྒྱལ་བ་སྦོ་སྟོན།), the seven sections; from Nubshang (Tibetan: གནུབས་ཤངས།), the fifteen Kriya teachings of Bari Lotsawa from the great accomplished one; from Dingri Kungga (Tibetan: དིང་རི་ཀུན་དགའ།), various key instructions, etc., were obtained in great abundance. From Dakpo Lhaje (Tibetan: དྭགས་པོ་ལྷ་རྗེ།), he inquired about the Six Dharmas and the combined practice, and he was very pleased by comparing the experiences of realization. By practicing in the monastery of the Nyingma yogis, he was known as an ascetic. The Dharma friends were also Acharya with tiger skin skirts, Lama Uchenpa, Lama Tukawa, Lama Dregjom, Shangdro Nyönpa, etc., all yogis of Dechen.
