Na Bhasmi Kuru Svaha! Recite this as many times as possible and throw the fire into the water. May the sins and obscurations accumulated by myself and the benefactor from beginningless lifetimes be pacified, Shantim Kuru Svaha! Also pour the fire into the water and discard it. Fifth, the act of purification, the bathing of the supports and craftsmen, etc.: Those supports that are suitable for actual washing should be washed with fragrant and soapberry cleansing agents. Also perform the anointing and wiping that will be mentioned below. Generally, washing the reflection in a mirror involves four rounds of bathing. Anointing, wiping, mirror, bathing vase, bathing cloth, fragrant oil, and the five fragrant ointments should all be prepared. I offer this bath with all its implements to the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the World, Tamer of Beings, Supreme, Teacher of Gods and Humans, Buddha Bhagavan. The bathing chamber is extremely fragrant, the crystal ground is clear and shining, it has delightful pillars adorned with blazing jewels, and is draped with a canopy of pearl light. For the Tathagatas and their sons, many precious vases are filled with fragrant water, and with delightful and melodious songs and music, bathe them many times. Listen to this while playing half the instruments. The teacher applies the first bathing agent to the mirror with five substances and a durva grass brush, while reciting the Amrita activity mantra. Om Hum Tram Hrih Ah! Anoint with butter. To remove the oiliness, Om Sarva Tathagata Kaya Vishuddhane Svaha! Wipe with powder of five tree barks. In the first vase: Just as at the time of birth, all the Tathagatas were bathed, so too, I now bathe the Buddha with pure divine water. Om Sarva Tathagata Abhisheka Te Samaya Shriye Hum! Wipe with a bathing cloth, these are incomparable garments befitting the body, cleanse the body with clean and fragrant scents. Om Hum Tram Hrih Ah Kaya Vishuddhane Svaha!
