Homage to the supreme crown jewel. May rain fall in due season in the realms of the world. May disease, famine, and strife be pacified. Furthermore, to the hosts of gods, nāgas, humans, and Brahmin sages who have accomplished truthful speech. To the yakṣa Jambhala. To the co-emergent deity, the five chief deities. To the household deities and field deities, and to the gods who increase fortune and power, the four elements, and the gods of mountains and forests, I offer. May you be companions in increasing all goodness and white qualities for me. Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. To the king of gandharvas, the tree with a horse's head, and to the gandharva Rabga, who craves song and dance. To all beings of the demon class, represented by the retinue dwelling in the city of the Vidyādharas. And to those who have formed grudges and blood feuds. To the five hundred ogresses and their children. To the assembly of eighty thousand classes of obstructors, I offer. Do not cause harm or injury. Do not steal fortune or power. Abandon cruelty and malice. Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. In particular, to all beings of the six realms, the five paths, and the four modes of birth, who are guests of compassion. And to the two classes of pretas who are poor and destitute. Yesterday, today, or this morning. From the years, months, days, and hours of last year, having abandoned the former body, and not yet having found the latter body. In the perilous straits of the bardo, without refuge or protection. Without a protector or friend. Without past accumulations. With few virtuous arrows. The aggregates composed of four names. The nature of feeling is suffering. Tormented by fear and delusion. Afflicted by cold, hunger, and thirst. With uncertain lifespan. Like a feather lifted by the wind. To all beings in the bardo who are deprived of the freedom to go where they please, headed by so-and-so, I offer. May you encounter a dwelling, companions, resources, and abundant food and drink, and thus be at ease. When this happens, may they immediately see the noble Avalokiteśvara and the bodhisattva Sarvanivāraṇaviṣkambhin, and thus recognize the bardo as the bardo. May they dispel delusion.
