May they effortlessly, even more than this, be endowed with manifest glory, and be filled with numerous perfections such as harmlessness and great wisdom. May other sentient beings also abide in such a state, and I would be very happy. In particular, for all enemies who harm me and those who are the object of jealousy in my mind, may they uproot from the root the evil thought of being unable to bear the wealth and perfection of others, and cultivate special joy in all aspects of happiness, and finally abide in a state without object of focus. Secondly, regarding the actual generation of bodhicitta. From the distinction of intelligence: First, having liberated oneself, then wishing to place other beings in that state, is the bodhicitta like a caravan leader; wishing to liberate oneself and other sentient beings together is the bodhicitta like a cowherd; not wishing to liberate oneself until all sentient beings have attained enlightenment is the bodhicitta like a shepherd. Differentiated by the boundary of the stages: On the paths of accumulation and preparation, it is the bodhicitta of discerning through faith and aspiration; from the first to the seventh bhumis, it is the bodhicitta of pure intention; on the three pure bhumis, it is the bodhicitta of maturation; on the Buddha bhumi, there is the term bodhicitta of abandoning obscurations. However, these are attained through the power of conventional ritual and the meditation of ultimate characteristics. Here, it is the first practitioner, dependent on ritual, so refer to other bodhicitta empowerment rituals. In the sky in front, visualize the assembly of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas as witnesses to the generation of bodhicitta, and generate bodhicitta with great intelligence as follows: There is not one of these sentient beings who has not been my parent. When they were my parents, they cared for me with affection like my present parents, giving me food, clothing me warmly, and raising me with very loving thoughts and actions. If my parents are still in samsara, what need do I have for liberation? Therefore, for the benefit of all sentient beings, I generate the supreme bodhicitta, train in vast conduct, and vow to strive until not a single sentient being remains in samsara. Therefore: "Hum! Various appearances are like false drawings of the moon in water, Sentient beings wandering in samsara like an endless stream of offspring, In order for them to rest in the realm of self-awareness and clear light,

Having generated the mind of enlightenment from the state of the four absences! After reciting this many times, visualize that all those who have become fields of merit are absorbed into oneself. By this, think that the ultimate mind of enlightenment abiding in their minds is clearly born in one's own mindstream, and rest in the nature of emptiness. Third, regarding the thought of training, there are two aspects: aspiration and engagement. First, like someone who wants to go, the training of aspiration bodhicitta includes three aspects: equality of self and others, exchange, and cherishing others. Initially, before it arises, think like this: Although all sentient beings and oneself are united in the desire for happiness and the aversion to suffering, sentient beings are always engaged in suffering because they are ignorant of the cause of suffering, the key to adopting virtue and abandoning non-virtue. This is truly pitiable! Because I follow the holy Dharma, I am by nature one who knows benefit and harm. Having endured wrong actions and partiality, I shall view self and others as equal. Meditate on this again and again. Then, the bodhicitta of exchanging self and others is: either in a visible situation or in an invisible situation, visualize a sentient being tormented by suffering in front of you. As the breath goes out, give them my happiness and goodness, body, possessions, roots of virtue, and all, as if taking off clothes and covering them. Think that you gladly take upon yourself all their suffering, and as you breathe in, think that they are happy and free from suffering. In this way, gradually meditate on giving and taking from one sentient being to all sentient beings. Once it has arisen, meditate on cherishing others more than oneself. Even if I remain in samsara, even if I am born in hell, even if I am sick or hot, I will endure whatever misfortune occurs. May the suffering of other sentient beings ripen upon me! May my happiness and the fruit of virtue be perfected upon them! Think this from the depths of your heart, and finally rest in a state without any clinging. Second, the training of engagement bodhicitta, like actually going, is for the benefit of all sentient beings, without attachment to wealth and possessions, in the direction of virtue, Practicing the perfection of generosity through three ways: giving, completely giving, and extremely giving. Restraining the misdeeds of one's own mindstream and benefiting others is the perfection of discipline. Regarding its distinctions
