This is a breath practice that abides in its own wisdom. It can be helpful for both the practice of the generation stage and the practice of the luminosity of the mind. All three, the holding, drawing, and scattering of bindus, are also breath practices that are naturally accomplished. The aggregates of grasping and being grasped are also naturally purified. Awareness is free from the faults of sinking, dullness, and agitation. There will be no faults of the senses, such as blurred vision. It will not be affected by diseases of phlegm and bile. It will naturally relieve bloating and diarrhea. It will purify contagious diseases such as epidemics. Sores will not occur. This is a breath practice whose life is equal to the sun and moon. One's own body is clear as the deity of Yidam. The body is not crooked or distorted, and the breath is pressed under the navel and stretched out. The eyes are kept staring into space. Keeping awareness in the state of primordial purity is also called the breath practice of great wisdom. It is also called the breath practice of distinguishing between mind and awareness. During this breath practice, the waist is slightly bent. The navel is stretched straight out. Even during all the actions of inhaling and filling the breath, it is stretched out again. By focusing on this with one mind, the upper and lower breaths are also naturally drawn in. This also means that the navel is stretched straight out at all times, and as a support for mindfulness, it is also done by stretching out the navel. Even when practicing the deity of Yidam, practice in the state of stretching the navel straight out. Even when reciting the essence mantra, guide it in the state of stretching the navel straight out. Even when practicing the wisdom of the non-conceptual nature of reality, stretch the navel straight out. At any time during the four modes of conduct, such as walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, do not be separated from this secret great wisdom. As it is said, such intermediate breath is not only for the time of mind training, but also on the path to achieving enlightenment, it should be recognized as an important key to the complete fulfillment of all favorable conditions. Thus, by training the mind through the three doors of non-conceptuality, awareness becomes focused, and the length of time spent in the state of non-thought like the sky increases, which is the measure of one's own habituation. These seven mind trainings are not just empty words, but by remembering the suffering and sorrow of being immersed in the nature of samsara like a myriad of darkness, generally at all times, especially on days such as empowerment.

If one does not integrate practices such as twenty-one, fourteen, or even seven into one's own mindstream, merely hearing the transmission will not make the mind capable. The Great Orgyen (Padmasambhava) said, "If you do not integrate the changing nature of samsara, the nature of impermanence and suffering, renunciation, and the mind of renunciation into your practice, it is like a person suffering from hunger and thirst who has food and drink in their hands but does not consume it, which will not benefit them. It is necessary to eat and drink to be effective. Similarly, after realizing that samsara is like being trapped in endless darkness, one can turn the mind towards temporary and lasting happiness." In this way, when the disciple's mindstream becomes very gentle and capable, first explain the common preliminaries, such as the six practices of refuge, and then explain the special preliminaries, such as distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. Then, in order to awaken the seeds of the four Vajra families inherent in the disciple's mindstream through symbolic representation, skillful means, and the rituals of dependent origination, and to mature the disciple's mindstream into a pure and boundless vessel, empower them, and recognize all phenomena of grasping and being grasped as the play of being free from memory, awareness, arising, ceasing, and abiding, thereby integrating effortless spontaneity into the state of Dharmakaya, which is the liberating guidance. Recognizing the sudden habitual tendencies of appearances and sounds as the play of the three mandalas through the three paths of nature, name, meaning, and sign, is the generation stage of uniting appearance and emptiness. The explanation that clearly shows the key points of the three, Tantra, Agama and Upadesha, bound by Vajra words, through the six edges and four aspects, is the pure explanation of the four river lineages of the ancient Nyingma school, thereby skillfully enabling the disciple's mindstream to achieve the nature of the three Vajras. At this time, a superior disciple will realize the unchanging nail of self-awareness, and when realization reaches its peak, they will endure all hardships and wrong views, and be authorized as a representative to carry out the work of benefiting others, thereby entrusting the great task of the Vajra King. If a middling disciple has not yet perfected the qualities of the union of appearance and awareness, and alternates between confusion and liberation like a small stream of the Soka River, they will face obstacles and erroneous achievements.
