Even the ravine that surely devours life, Is easily crossed with a single step of love. I desire to have the body of a swift deer, The mount of a ruler, swift as the wind. Like a weapon defeated on the battlefield of the Asuras, Suffering the feeling of being abandoned in the depths of a dark gorge. To perceive oneself as an enemy to be killed, Is not the conduct of a great Bodhisattva. Now still enduring the burden of others' suffering, Busy preparing to bear the weight of a Gorma. May I transform like the deer king Sharabha. 25 Merely being controlled by the enemy of great desire, Is not even like being on a fiercely chaotic battlefield. The decline of fame makes this life miserable, Like the exhaustion of merit destroys the next life. Giving life-saving refuge in a raging river, Without abandoning kindness and greedy thoughts. Even temporary wandering is caused by desire sowing discord, Repaying kindness with enmity, becoming an accomplice to the hunter. One who speaks the truth does not need weapons, Like a wicked person having their hands and feet cut off by a razor. Telling stories of cause and effect brings benefit, In a moment of unbearable shame, shooting tiny arrows into the village. Like being eager to reduce oneself to dust, May I be reborn as the deer king Ruru. 26 The form of compassion does not transfer anywhere, Even enemies become friends, that is its essence. The glory of perfect prosperity in the world, Is mostly a messenger destroying happiness. Merely a single fruit of the Nyagrodha tree, Attracted a troop of monkeys summoning the king's army. In order to breathe from the Spaba vines, A single leap is immeasurable. Seeking opportunity in the next world, The power of strong effort is like a bridge. Merely the teacher striving for the sake of others, Cannot enable sentient beings to achieve their own benefit. May I be reborn as the monkey king. 27 The earrings that brighten the face, And the illusion of a beautiful woman adorned with a splendid diadem, Held by a family, Has also succumbed to the constant influence of taming and patience. Deeply wounded by the hook of desire, The king, whose body strength is nourished by jealousy, Even if he inflicts the persecution of an army upon the great sage, And cuts off his limbs with sharp swords, His body, the firm armor of patience, Is of supreme fame.

Accompanied by hands and feet, Having relied on the life of virtue and peace, Still fearing the enemy's power, they are afraid, May I transform into a sage who speaks of patience. 28 Among the unpardonable sins, what is the most powerful? From which path does attachment to wrong views arise? Not abiding in the supreme asceticism of reversal, Such a great hero will not attain happiness. To the reasoning that there is no other world, A king who delights in entering has no limbs. Pressing down with the power of blazing and clear splendor, The world of Brahma itself seeks an opportunity. Even with the valid means of establishing manifest signs, The eternalist and nihilist tenets are destroyed,

Even if the warhorse falls, the four divisions of the army can be defeated, Arrogance is like walking on the edge of a great cliff, Even with great strength, the enemy, the Lord of Death, cannot be defeated. Therefore, even with the wealth of the gods and high status, The nature of kingship is wavering and unstable. Sad words are like a razor in the wind, Others are still breathing, but I will go into the forest. May I be like those born in the iron house! 32 The horns can subdue even the power of the vajra, The paralyzed limbs are like mud stuck to a rock. The wild buffalo trying to climb the rocky mountain, The small monkey rebels, this is the power of loving-kindness. Because of compassion, having been close to it for a long time, Finding the opportunity when it is not angry or fighting, Towards the unruly, creating various harms, Even the yakshas, out of shame, reveal their forms. Here, the children whose youth has passed, Speak of deceptive giving and taking as profit. Wherever there is harm, right there, Relying on patience to seek benefit, this is the way of the holy. May I obtain patience like the buffalo's rebirth! 33 Even the lion that tears the elephant's head, Will shake off the dust with its mane and roll on the ground, Hurrying to abandon the posture of arrogance, The strength of the enemy is just a part of the bone. The wooden horse entering its throat, The state of being skilled at pulling out thorns, Is not the power of being restrained by sharp wisdom, But the compassionate care of long-standing intimacy. Because of the faults of bad nature, anger, greed, and stinginess, Existing in the nature of sentient beings, Even if they do not acknowledge what has been done, humiliate, slander, and scold, Because they are not accustomed to it, they cannot hold onto anger. May I become like a moth to a flame! 34 Like those dyed by the newly rising sun, Those who value the monastic robes more than their lives, Even if deceived by hunters disguised as banners of hermits, The respect does not diminish, this is the power of the great ones. The vile person who wears bad words as clothes, Becomes blind when looking at the destination of the next life, This is a shameful thing, to instantly snatch the life of a lion who has accumulated a heap of merit with a poisoned arrow. The characteristic of that Bodhicitta is, The skin is golden, and there are traces of migration, Transforming unruly desires into something else, This is arranged by karma and its results. May I be as steadfast in my vows as the Lion King! 35 Here, transformation
