Previously not awakened, Later newly added suffering, like the suffering of suffering, is not obvious. Meeting with enemies, separating from loved ones, desires not fulfilled. The five aggregates of clinging are like containers of various harms, so one cannot escape from the precipice of suffering. Even if body and speech strive to be pulverized, there is no time to attain happiness. Many things to do, few results, all hopes and fears are of a deceiving nature. If there is abundance, then no matter how much is gathered, those will also become the cause of suffering in the next life. Therefore, whatever is done, it is a dharma without essence. Once knowing what it is, may renunciation arise in the heart. Thus I pray. Fifth, praying that there are no obstacles on the path to liberation: The causes that obstruct the practice of Bodhi, may one not be changed by the power of unfavorable demons, and may favorable conditions such as residence and resources, friends, etc., be accomplished spontaneously as thought. Regarding this, there are four kinds of unfavorable demons that obstruct the practice of Bodhi on the path to liberation: The demon of afflictions, which arises together with one's own mind-stream, firstly does not allow the arising of renunciation and does not allow faith in the Dharma and the Guru. In the middle, after being scolded by a virtuous friend, one is lost to the control of carelessness. Finally, with a peace that seems like Dharma, one goes empty-handed at the time of death. The demon of the aggregates clings to the truth of the path as real, clings to the impure aspects of form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, and obscures the reality of the nature of Dharma. The demon of the sons of the gods clings to relatives and friends and is distracted by the merits of enjoying desires. The demon of death destroys the gathering of leisure and endowment and obstructs the path. Therefore, may one not come under their control. May a pure place be better than a remote borderland devoid of crowds, may pure living and resources be better than begging and contentment, may pure friends be better than those who have great renunciation and are learned, may pure vows not be defiled by the three, Hearers, Bodhisattvas, and Secret Mantra, may pure Dharma be the aspiration of the mind of Bodhi and the practice of the six perfections and the generation and completion stages, that is, the conduct of Samantabhadra, may it not become an obstacle of shame and caution, I pray. Sixth, praying to take refuge: Frightened by the suffering of oneself and others in samsara, the unerring refuge

To the Three Jewels, the refuge, with a mind of faith and reverence, may I receive the vow of taking refuge. Moreover, taking refuge is not merely aiming for the happiness and fruits of gods and humans, nor is it with a mind of peace and tranquility for one's own benefit, but rather aiming for the benefit of all sentient beings, entering into the realm of benefiting others. Furthermore, being terrified from the depths of one's heart by the suffering of samsara, and firmly believing that there is no other than the Three Jewels who can truly protect and liberate, therefore, with faith and reverence towards the Dharma, taking refuge with a single-pointed mind until enlightenment is attained is the foundation and basis of all vows. Seventh, wishing to generate the mind of enlightenment. Aspirational Bodhicitta: From beginningless time, all kind mothers and fathers, those who experience suffering in the six realms, may I generate unbearable compassion and the supreme, vast mind of enlightenment. Regarding samsara, due to beginningless causes, there is not a single sentient being who has not been our parent. If this is not realized, one will not understand the complete Bodhicitta. If realization arises, just as if one's own parents or loved ones were imprisoned, one would feel intense suffering and strive to find a way to free them. Whether it is a parent from a previous life or a present parent, they are suffering in the six realms, like being imprisoned in a dark dungeon, so generate unbearable compassion, wishing that they may be liberated from it immediately. Earnestly hoping that all my efforts may become a means for their liberation, generating such a great compassionate mind is the very essence of the sacred Bodhicitta, therefore, aspiring to generate it. Eighth, Entering the Bodhisattva Path: With the determination to attain Buddhahood for the sake of others, donning the armor of altruism to benefit beings, properly and truly training in the six perfections, may I enter the conduct of the sons of the Buddhas. Unlike the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, who only seek personal peace and tranquility, but directing all aspirations of the path truth towards attaining Buddhahood for the benefit of others, and not for the sake of the hypocrisy of the ten virtues and fame, but donning the armor of pure, untainted altruism.
