Praying that you all, until the cycle of existence is empty, for the sake of benefiting others, without entering into nirvana, may you remain for a long time. The seventh is the limb of dedication: Here, striving, representing the virtue of the present time, gathering all the accumulations of merit from the past, present, and future, through the power of dedicating it to all sentient beings to attain Buddhahood, may I not only alone, but together with the multitude of beings equal to the sky, attain the state of omniscient victorious ones. This is simultaneously making dedication and aspiration. Second, regarding the content of the text, the first of the thirty-two parts is to remember the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment and to make aspirations. If it is not obtained, may in all lifetimes, one possess a "body of leisure and endowment," because a human body possessing these conditions is rarer than a star in the daytime. This is aspiring to obtain what is to be obtained. How is it rare? The so-called body of leisure means being liberated from the eight states of unfreedom. These are: hell, hungry ghosts, animals, the three lower realms. Even if born in a happy realm, gods are distracted by sensual pleasures and carelessness. Barbarians do not know good and evil, they kill whatever they see, and whatever they do is accumulating evil deeds. Those with wrong views generate evil thoughts even towards the lama and the Buddha. If born in a dark age when no Buddha has appeared, one does not know the right path from the wrong path, and is no different from a barbarian. The mute cannot use consciousness, so even if the Dharma is taught, they cannot understand. Thus, if one is not born in these eight places, one has the leisure to practice the Dharma, so it is called "leisure." The endowments, the five personal endowments, are: obtaining a human body, and that too, being born in the "central region," that is, where the Dharma flourishes. Having complete faculties. Not being inclined to non-virtuous actions, not engaging in perverted actions. The five other endowments are: the time of birth is not wrong, the Buddha has appeared in the world. The Dharma has been taught. The teachings have not declined. Having entered the teachings. Having loving-kindness towards the lama and virtuous friends. Therefore, a human body possessing the eighteen leisures and endowments is very precious, like something impossible. It is not enough just to have that, one must rely on a qualified spiritual friend, who is the root of the path, like one's eyes, and not go against his mind, and please him in many ways, and only listen to the Dharma, this is called "hearing." By understanding the meaning of the words,

Thinking is practicing and explaining. May self-benefit be perfected by constantly striving to meditate on these meanings in the mind, and may I also be able to act for the external Buddha's teachings. Second, praying for impermanence to arise in the mindstream: Even though such a leisure and fortune has been obtained, life, which is its life force, does not stay long like a dewdrop on the tip of a blade of grass. One cannot trust even a short time like tonight or tomorrow, the messengers of death will destroy and change everything in an instant, and having recognized this reason, feel fear. Cut off the thought of striving for this life, such as conquering enemies, protecting relatives and friends, doing this first and doing that later, engaging in commerce or agriculture, and gathering noise, fame, enjoyment, and all activities. Thinking of the nature of aggregation that will eventually disperse, not to mention relatives, friends, homeland, wealth, etc., even one's own bed, food, drink, and clothing are abandoned. I abandon them, and they abandon me, so there is no meaning in anything, everything is impermanent. Relatives surround and cry and wail, dying with their mouths open, without any certainty whether such death will come tonight, may I always remember this. Third, praying to have faith in cause and effect: Even when life ends, from beginningless samsara, the suffering of the karma accumulated will eventually be experienced. Just as the karma accumulated by oneself will not be transferred to others, nor will it be wasted in between, once it ripens, it will surely be borne by oneself alone. Therefore, the three actions of killing, taking what is not given, and sexual misconduct through the body, and the four actions of lying, divisive speech, harsh speech, and idle chatter through speech, and the actions of greed, malice, and wrong view through the mind, these ten non-virtuous actions are closely related at all times and in all circumstances. And these also need to have the four conditions of basis (intention), application, and completion. Whether it is necessary to have these conditions can be understood from the commentary on the Abhidharma-kosa. The results of these actions will also experience the four types of ripening result, corresponding result, dominating result, and human-made result. Among them, the ripening result is due to the difference in the afflictions of intention, making hatred causes one to fall into hell, greed causes one to fall into the realm of hungry ghosts, and ignorance causes one to be reborn as an animal. The corresponding result is that killing leads to a short life, and taking what is not given leads to poverty.
