Furthermore, things like gut leather should be wrapped with ordinary thread-like materials; rosaries for various activities are threads twisted with five-colored threads. The thickness of all these rosaries should be appropriate to the eyes, neither too wide nor too narrow, neither too long nor too short. If it is too narrow, the activity will not succeed, or there will be interruptions and obstacles; if it is too long, it will delay the arrival of the deity, and the practice will be distracted; if it is too short, it will harm life; having joints and knots, uneven thickness will cause disasters, etc., one should understand these differences. This saying makes it clear to understand. However, regarding the types of threads, apart from the five colors, there is no clear explanation of the number of threads and the identity of the weaver. But the previous lamas believed that in order to transmit the bliss of non-leakage, it should be woven by a qualified consort who is not contaminated by worldly dharmas. The reason for this is that, as stated in the Vajra Dakini Tantra: "It should be woven by a young woman, she should be beautiful in appearance, complete in body, pure and mindful, and speak sweetly. The rosary woven by her will generate the accomplishment of liberation." Obviously, this is their intention. Regarding the number of threads, the Sambhuti Tantra says: "In the eight directions and corners, the ninth in the center is the Buddha himself. There are nine deities on the thread, and these nine deities should be blessed." According to this statement, the central thread here can be considered as Padma Vajra Power, and the eight directions and corners can be considered as the eight wrathful deities such as Buddha Skull Garland. Considering this, it is very appropriate to use nine threads. Some people say that the new translation mantras should not be covered, which is very reasonable. Because these vows that are commonly recognized by both the new and old schools have only subtle differences in their explanations, and there are no contradictions. Moreover, scholars and accomplished ones who understand the key points of the Dharma and are not biased towards any side do not regard each other's heat and cold like water and fire. However, mixing rituals and sadhanas together is due to the mind becoming confused from the madness of the eight worldly dharmas (referring to gain, loss, destruction, fame, praise, ridicule, suffering, and happiness). Do not mix "Dang" and "Auddhada" together. Fourth, the method of threading, the Sambhuti Tantra says: "Use the seed syllables of Ali Kali, thread with the Hum syllable." According to this statement, the rosary should be offered to the main deity of the yidam, and the rosary is the mandala of the retinue.

One should contemplate the earth being encircled, and recite along with the song of Hūṃ. Fifth, the string holder of the rosary: As it says in this very tantra: "The string holder of the rosary is like this: Peaceful ones are white, round, and coiled; increasing ones are yellow with a Chinese knot; or it can have a half-stupa pattern; for subjugation, a red flower; the shape can be flat, crescent-shaped, or even long is auspicious; wrathful ones are mostly black in color; the shape is triangular with claw marks; angular, with holes, rough and sharp; in short, for rosaries of various activities, the string holder is the seal of body, speech, and mind; adorned with white, red, and blue colors; these and others should be judged according to the tradition and wisdom." Therefore, one should make string holders that correspond to each. Generally, to symbolize the three vajras, as it is said in three layers, the top layer is the mind, symbolizing the unchanging wisdom of the dharmadhatu, so the color is blue; the middle layer is the speech vajra, so the color is red; the bottom layer is the body vajra, so the color is white. If combined with reality, the top layer is the essence dharmakaya emptiness, the middle layer is the nature luminosity sambhogakaya, the bottom layer is the compassion all-pervading nirmanakaya, which is the symbolic meaning of the inseparability of the three kayas. For the new tantras, to symbolize the two purities, the string holder should be made in two layers. The Sambuṭī Tantra says: "For the sake of the stupa and the freedom of the Dharma, the top is also the dharmadhatu." In the commentary, it says: "That is, the bottom symbolizes wisdom, the top symbolizes the dharmadhatu, or the bottom symbolizes the form body, the top symbolizes the dharmakaya." Fifth, blessing the rosary: As it says in this very tantra: "At the beginning of counting, incense, purify, bless, and consecrate the rosary." And the Manjushri Root Tantra says: "With immaculate rivers, bathe with pure water, then take the rosary, wash it thoroughly with the five milks, anoint it with fragrant substances, diligently recite mantras, approach it and begin recitation." In explaining the meaning of this passage, Rigdzin Chokyi Drakpa said: "First wash your hands with clean water, then wash the rosary with the five milks as stated in the sutra, and anoint it with fragrance." After that, as it says in this very tantra: "With the pride of oneself as the deity, place the rosary in the hand,"
