In the Ornament of Jewels it says: Not abiding in the two extremes, greatly self-illuminating. The vajra of the mudra is unchanging. Arising from the mandala of the Immovable One. The very true essence, the supremely stable body. Various bindus, the realm of the body. The mandala with symbols, the three kayas complete. Possessing the realm of no action. Unmoving from the one, the dharma body. Not dualistic, the field of self-appearance. Transcending the two, ultimate and conventional. Thus it is said. The intention of this king of vehicles is that the essence of awareness is primordially free from elaboration, so it is not desired to be like newly liberated from previous bondage, therefore the awareness that is pure from the beginning, or the nature of primordial purity, the uncorrected nature as it is, from the ground it is not cut off in any direction. Because its own nature is without essence, it does not fall into any extreme. Free from the mind of self-grasping, the naked and clear awareness transcends thought and expression, therefore it abides in emptiness, the gate of liberation. From the path, it cannot be expressed by words and letters, and because the expression of the mind that grasps the two parts of grasping and being grasped cannot reach it, it naturally enters the signless, the gate of liberation. From the fruit, it transcends the hope and fear of attainment, therefore in the realm of wishlessness, even though enlightenment is attained, the qualities of awareness are complete without remainder, abiding in the vajra essence of the radiant light of the complete samaya, and from that, the qualities of the three kayas arise effortlessly, as it says in the Lion's Complete Power: By expressing the meaning of one awareness, the essence of the victorious ones of the three kayas appears. From the body arise the miraculous powers of wisdom. Appearance and non-appearance are not dharma. Realization and non-realization are freed from extremes. The wisdom of appearance abides in the essence. The self that arises is not stained by conditions. The wisdom of appearance is enjoyed everywhere. Freed from the limitless path. From the three thousand great thousand worlds. How many mandalas of the body are there? All appear clearly without exception. From the three thousand worlds, the great thousand worlds. How many mandalas of speech are there? All show sounds without exception. From the three thousand worlds, the great thousand worlds. How many mandalas of mind are there? All are awakened to realization without exception. Body, speech, and vajra mind. From the absence of appearance, all appearances. The body of the Buddha and the light of wisdom.
