That is the very nature of nirvana. By abandoning samsara and going elsewhere, one will not realize nirvana. Thus, at the time of naturally co-emerging, clarity is samsara, and emptiness is nirvana. During practice, the mind is samsara, and the absence of inherent existence is nirvana. At the time of the result continuum, spontaneous accomplishment is samsara, and transformation is nirvana. In all of these, by combining the path's instructions with the method continuum, it becomes a method and abides in the three continuums of cause and effect. Among these, The mind's nature, which all sentient beings inherently possess, is the Sugata-garbha, the indestructible essence endowed with three distinctions. If realized, it is nirvana; if not realized, it becomes the cause of samsara. That which remains unchanging and continuous in all of samsara and nirvana is called the basis or the cause continuum. In terms of the essence and the absence of bondage and liberation, it is the way things truly are. In terms of appearance, although with defilements, it has never been stained in its own essence, hence it is the Sugata-garbha. In terms of the absence of characteristics, it is the Dharmakaya. In terms of the unceasing radiance of its nature, it is the support for the qualities of the Rupakaya. That which, at the time of the path, becomes various terms such as Bodhicitta, the inseparability of truth, and self-arisen wisdom. Although without support and without obtaining self-mastery, as it is said in the continuum: "Self-arisen wisdom appears without location." Thus, relying on the co-emergent condition, the uninterrupted instruction of the method continuum, having purified the adventitious defilements, in the completely pure realm, the various displays of body and wisdom appear, which is the result continuum that cannot be stolen by others. Such a basis, path, and result continuum must be established based on the universal three kinds of valid cognition. That is, the Buddha's undefiled words, the scriptural valid cognition; the instructions that are practiced by the wise and have the power to liberate, the experiential valid cognition; and the reasoning that is in accordance with both, the logical valid cognition. As it is said in the Vajra Mirror: "By scripture and reason, the measure of instructions, by whatever is measured by those valid cognitions, one will understand the knowable." Thus, relying on the three kinds of faith established by the three valid cognitions, one must understand the meaning of the continuum, as it is said in the Kalachakra: "First, one must trust the Lama, then one must trust oneself, then one must trust the

Then one should trust in the king of tantras. Thus, through the three kinds of trust, one will be able to realize all the essential meanings of the tantras. So it is said. Moreover, regarding the tenets of the mantra's own system, one must first know without error the suchness of the ground, path, and fruit, which is the view to be realized, as the feet of the Victorious Ones said: "Here, it is most important to first know the nature of reality. Although there are many kinds of vehicles, their definitive essence, the truth, is inseparable, and it is the secret treasury of all Buddhas." So it is said. Knowing this cannot be determined merely by seemingly logical arguments of wandering thoughts, so one should seek a qualified lama and trust him from the depths of one's heart, holding the perception of the Buddha. With the iron hook of devotion, one should subdue the wisdom of the lama's utterly non-conceptual mind, and not doubt the nature of reality that one sees directly, which is called trusting oneself. As it is said in the Two Examinations: "The co-emergent, not spoken by others, cannot be found anywhere, but is known through the lama's instruction and timely means, and through one's own mind nature." So it is said. At that time, one realizes not merely the knowledge of terms, but how the nature abides, so all phenomena are without arising or ceasing in the ultimate truth, and in the relative truth, they are like illusion and do not cease, and are similar to the perfections only in name. Therefore, on the path of words, there is no second acceptance of the view of sutra and tantra, but in the path of mantra, all aspects of the relative appear as the play of completely pure deities, and the two truths are simultaneously integrated into the great self-perfected bliss. For the great non-duality without difference, there is no before or after, so the two stages, measured and examined by discriminating minds, are not completely one or completely not one, and if one understands the difference that the objects of each wisdom cannot be reintegrated, one will see that the abiding of the view, the Great Seal, also exists in the essential meaning of the tantras that are taught like instructions, and thus a special trust will arise. Saraha said: "Existence and peace are equal, good is the Great Seal." So it is said. Also, the defilements that are temporarily possessed by the basis, are purified by the two aspects of maturation and liberation of the method or path tantra, the first of which has already been explained, and the meaning of the second is
