Among these, saying to oneself, "It is best to associate with desire with me," or accepting what others say, understanding each other. Fifth is matchmaking: established in Shravasti for the group of six monks, oneself or someone designated, acting as a matchmaker for men and women who can be joined together through three means, causing them to meet, thereby causing the senses to touch. Sixth is the remainder of the house: when the Buddha was residing in Kausambi, these two (referring to building a house and building a large house) were established for the group of six monks. Like this, in a place where there are many creatures and disputes on the land, and where there are disasters, without obtaining permission from the Sangha, wanting to build a house for oneself with items obtained through effort from others, and also the length of the house exceeds eighteen cubits, and the width exceeds eleven and a half cubits, building oneself or designating others to build, completely surrounding and covering the roof. Seventh is building a large house: built for the purpose of accommodating four or more people. There are many creatures on the land, etc., everything else is the same as before, the difference is that it is not necessary to obtain through effort from others, nor is it necessary to exceed the size limit. Eighth is unfounded accusation: these two (referring to unfounded accusation and slight accusation) were established in Rajagriha for friends and those born from the earth. For other monks who live equally with Brahma, without seeing, hearing, or suspecting three grounds, proclaiming words of accusation through any of the four defeats, and the other party understands. Ninth is slight accusation: using a slight accusation against other monks as a reason, accusing through the implication of words, in the manner of defeat, and the other party understands. Tenth is dividing the Sangha: established for Devadatta in Rajagriha. Gathering in one place, monks with discipline, the Sangha that is different from oneself and can be divided, because the two are not in accordance with the Dharma, they divide each other. Moreover, the remainder of the Sangha division here and the Sangha division among the five heinous crimes are different. The five heinous crimes must rely on the Sangha of monks, just like Devadatta divided the wheel of the Sangha. The remainder, even if it cannot divide the Sangha, as long as it participates in the act of dividing the Sangha, and has not abandoned at the end of the five preventing actions, is sufficient.

Furthermore, each of the first four gross offenses, and if the third denunciation is not stopped, then it is the basis of the remainder. The eleventh is siding with those who cause dissension: In Rajagriha (present-day Rajgir), the monks Kokalika and others, who were friends of Devadatta, were disciplined because any monk who participated in the schism of the Sangha agreed with his thoughts and actions and did not stop the five means of restraint. The twelfth is disparaging householders: In Shravasti, the monks Nanda and Swift-goer were disciplined because they engaged in misconduct contrary to the precepts, such as playing with women and eating and drinking, causing householders to become disgusted and lose faith. Even if they were expelled, they participated in the expulsion of the Sangha, making accusations with four pretexts of not going, and did not stop the five means of restraint. The thirteenth is displeasure: In Kaushambi, the Sangha, when urging a monk who had committed an offense and remembered the past with attachment to make amends for the Sangha, said, "Whether you are good or bad, do not say anything to us," thus participating in the basis of displeasure and not stopping the fifth means of restraint. The five means of restraint are: coercion, the Sangha's request, and association with the three acts of denunciation. The thirty offenses of expiation are: If any offense that has occurred is not remedied by means of abandonment and made pure, then its ripening result will cause one to fall into the lower realms, hence it is called expiation. As it is said in "The Teaching of the Good Path": "Because of the multitude and because of having nature, etc., they are various things to be abandoned, therefore, dwelling by striving to abandon, therefore it is a downfall." Divided into categories of robes, cushions, bowls, etc., each category has ten items, totaling thirty offenses of expiation. If explained in detail, it is feared that it would be too cumbersome. From the "Determination of the Three Vows of One's Own Tradition": Holding one's own extra robe for more than ten days 1, being separated from the Dharma robe for more than one day 2, storing cloth for more than one month 3, having a nun wash the Dharma robe 4, taking cloth from her 5, begging for cloth from a non-relative householder 6, if given, taking more than the upper and lower garments 7, thinking of giving to oneself and storing the Dharma robe.
