Even if only a part is abandoned, it will not become a complete abandonment. So it is said. Among them, according to the first case, the sutra says: How many kinds of karma does a monk have? The attendant has one hundred and one kinds. As it is said, the ritual of one hundred and one kinds of karma has disappeared, and there is no ritual of granting, so it will not be newly produced. However, there is no cause to abandon the previous precepts, because the realization of the Dharma in its continuum has not disappeared. As the brothers Asanga said: Merely the disappearance of the scriptures will not abandon the previous precepts, because the realization of the Dharma has not disappeared. However, at that time, there will be no new birth that did not exist before, because there is no ritual of granting. The meaning of the latter is what is condemned in the Extensive Commentary, for a monk who has become defeated, even if he already has precepts, although this is the case, it will become unnecessary, because he cannot live and enjoy with those who practice Brahmacharya, and, taking the precepts correctly is for liberation,

There is no prohibition, the actor has characteristics, it is not summer, remembrance, should be admonished, and turning away from bad deeds and their causes allows for the remedy of downfalls. Thus, if one offers faults based on repentance, the qualified Sangha should accept the forgiveness that naturally exists according to the ritual, and afterwards joy should be generated. To remedy with joy and confession is: wanting to hide the downfall that has occurred is a concealing mind, and the verbal action generated by that motivation is a concealing downfall, which is also included among the four causes of being born in hell, as stated in the Maitreya Lion's Roar Sutra: These four go to hell like an arrow shot: being jealous of others' gains, revealing faults with discipline after hearing the Vinaya and the Sutras of the Land, concealing faults with pride even though transgressing the commands and precepts, and knowingly enjoying offerings given in faith. Thus, a monk who knows the distinction between downfalls and non-downfalls and remembers, having concealed overnight from the abandonment practice of the Sangha, and associating with any of the four defeats, that downfall cannot be remedied in this life, because the continuum has become irreparable. Such a person should be expelled from the Sangha, but if he is a holder of the scriptures, he does not have the right to enjoy with the Sangha, but should be cared for with residence and enjoyment of offerings, etc., and if such a person does not accept the request for forgiveness, then from that time on, when the value of the residence Dharma's gains is complete, it is said that the Sangha will fail. What is appropriate to restore here is the absence of concealing any fault, up to the Mind-Only school, stating the matter to the Sangha and confessing, then giving the Bhikshu vows of the four actions again, and then giving the training of the punishment action, and also teaching him to accept five inferior practices for as long as he lives, and to abandon five special practices. When he attains Arhatship, that will naturally exist, because all the causes of delusion have been exhausted and abandoned.

Thus it is said in the Sutra of Golden Light: "For the virtuous teacher who cherishes disciples, please grant the precepts to those who have not given rise to a mind of concealment." If all defilements are exhausted, how should one abide in the previous position? So it is said. The precepts are the act of abandoning, not the precepts of vows. Therefore, a person without concealment, even if he offers the precepts and then takes them back, can still generate the vows of a fully ordained monk, and the same applies to a novice monk. If a non-common root downfall occurs, even if giving the precepts becomes a fault, there is no need to give the precepts, because the door of the basis is not established, just as there is no harvest or hail in a field without land. Because one does not obtain both merit and downfall. Similarly, the thirteen remaining offenses and the coarse offenses, etc., should be restored sequentially depending on their severity. Among them, those who are able should make amends, and those who are unable should perform blessings, etc., which can be known from the ritual. In short, for what has been done before, like regretting drinking poison, like vomiting, abandoning that action, like relying on medicine, constantly practicing the antidote, like not drinking poison again, with the four powers of restoration, there is nothing that cannot be purified. The precepts to be practiced are the seventeen things that are said in the Vinaya-vastu to be the basis of the three trainings, among which, the three things ritual Here, the means of purifying the essence of morality, namely, the three things of Posadha, Vassa, and Pravarana, are mainly discussed. Among them, the first basis of Posadha was granted in the Bamboo Grove of Rajagriha (present-day Rajgir, Bihar) at the request of many lay practitioners. Among them, to purify all previous obscurations and to purify the increasing samadhi and wisdom, is the Posadha of tranquility; to prevent the future continuum, to prevent the defilements of this life, and to purify the increasing morality, is the Posadha of conformity. Here, I will briefly explain the meaning of the latter. Among them, there are five types: the fourteenth day Posadha, the fifteenth day Posadha, the auspicious Posadha, the obstacle-removing Posadha, and the harmonizing Posadha. The first one, due to the difference between the day, date, and constellation not coinciding, there are six fourteenth day Posadhas each year. As the Year Question says: Victory, Di, Shi, Xing, Water Above, Shi Su, etc.
