Just like that, first, by applying mindfulness of the body, one recognizes the body as suffering, thereby entering into the understanding of suffering. Second, recognizing feelings as suffering, one enters into abandoning the origin of suffering. Third, by meditating on the impermanence of the mind, one enters into manifesting the cessation of clinging to permanence. Fourth, by meditating on the selflessness of phenomena, one turns away from attachment to self and enters into the practice of the path. As the Madhyāntavibhāga states: "For the sake of bad states, for the sake of the cause of existence, for the sake of the basis, and for the sake of non-delusion, if one wishes to enter the four truths, one should meditate on mindfulness." Thus it is said. In the middle of the accumulation path, unwholesome dharmas that have not yet arisen are not generated; those that have arisen are cut off from their continuity. Wholesome dharmas that have not yet arisen are generated; those that have arisen are increased, and one enters with diligence, and cultivates the antidote of selflessness, as well as illusion or dreams, etc. Or, as it says in that very text: "Having fully understood all the opposing factors and antidotes, diligence arises in four ways to abandon the unwholesome." Thus it is said. In the great accumulation path, the four legs of miraculous power are: aspiration, diligence, mind, and the samādhi of analysis, which are the basis of miraculous power, as well as clairvoyance and divine eye, etc. Because the mind of dhyāna is capable and accomplished by strength, it is called the legs of miraculous power. As the former text states: "It abides in being capable, and all meanings will be attained." Thus it is said. After that, the non-conceptual wisdom quickly joins the path of seeing, so it is the path of application. The support of the body is any of the five realms of existence, and the support of the mind is any of the six dhyāna grounds. That is, in the two stages of heat and peak, one cultivates the five faculties of faith, diligence, mindfulness, samādhi, and wisdom, as well as the power of faith in the two stages of forbearance and supreme dharma, which are the five powers that are in harmony with the faculties. As the Madhyāntavibhāga states: "The five faculties and the five powers, and the two pairs of decisive factors." Thus it is said. That is, because one generates pure aspects and destroys the aspects that are not in harmony with the faculties, it is called power. As the former text states: "Having generated what is in harmony with the aspect of liberation, one controls with desire and application, not forgetting the object, and also distinguishing without distraction." And as the Ornament states: "Because the opposing factors are weakened, those themselves are called powers."
