Being familiar with meditating on experience, being associated with various behaviors, and guiding disciples with compassion, possessing these eight qualities. Thus it is said. In addition to this, the lineage being unbroken and having great blessings, having great renunciation and few activities, is the unique tradition of my omniscient guru. If the lineage is broken, then the accomplishment of mantras depends solely on vows, therefore blessings will not arise. If one does not diligently practice the Dharma, even if one speaks of the Dharma, one's actions will be in accordance with oneself, especially regarding the eight worldly concerns, one becomes proficient without needing to learn. Therefore, the guru himself also acts according to the Dharma. Furthermore, one who is associated with that is called a virtuous friend. As it is said in the Nirvana Sutra: "One diligently strives for Bodhi oneself, and also causes others to diligently strive for Bodhi, therefore one is called a virtuous friend." Thus it is said. Therefore, the sign that realization liberates one's own mindstream is that activities are few, and possessing great compassion without being weary of benefiting others should be regarded as the sign of a great being. Lord Maitreya said: "A Bodhisattva who is learned, has true vision, speaks well, and is compassionate, a noble person without weariness, should be known as a great being." Thus it is said. In order to explain the characteristics of those who should not be relied upon, like a Brahmin who protects his caste, or, in a pond fearing the decline of his residence, using the fruits of hearing and thinking for bathing in an inappropriate place, like a guide who is like a self-grinding wooden machine. Thus, a Brahmin considers only his own caste as supreme, Vedas and evil mantras etc. are not necessary for attaining Buddhahood, and holds the ancestral traditions that are unrelated to the Buddha's teachings as sacred, similarly, being filled with and arrogant with only race, lineage, and lineage, as if considering the realization of political power as the characteristic of the true Dharma, being filled with the arrogance of distraction and noise, not trusting in any of the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating, or, because of fearing the decline of the wealth and territory of the residence, even if one hears and thinks a little, one mainly pursues worldly fame and profit, profound and

While preaching the great meaning to others, one's own thoughts and actions are engaged in trade, agriculture, harming sentient beings, and craving only worldly riches, indulging in kingship and the ways of household life. This is a contradiction between words and deeds, like a wooden self-grinding machine. Although not contrary to the nature of ordinary beings, the faith of fools is randomly attached to irrelevant things, filled with gain and honor, like a spiritual friend who is a frog in a well. Noble ones are completely contrary to the nature of ordinary beings. How are they contrary? They are endowed with faith, discipline, the habit of giving, vast learning, shame, embarrassment, and wisdom. They are rich in the wealth of their own lineage and are free from miserliness and other afflictions, defilements, and all views. Therefore, they are called noble ones. The characteristics of childish ordinary beings are: The teacher Mati Citra said, "Do not allow the foolish and impoverished, the greedy and ungrateful, the flattering, violent, and unpleasant to dwell in your land. Always discern the differences between ordinary beings. Those who follow only for their own benefit are better than other ordinary people." The Suhrllekha (Friendly Epistle) says, "The cause of this is that beings love miserliness. The Buddha said that miserliness is not a noble quality." Therefore, non-noble ones refer to the nature of one's own mindstream being defiled by afflictions, like ignorance. Relying on a small amount of merit from past generosity, they have now obtained the position of a lama. Fools, with biased faith, fabricate them as noble ones or emanations of great compassion, and with gain and honor, they corrupt their minds, not allowing any examination of their own minds, arrogantly thinking, "It is just like this." Their state is like the frog in a well described in the Jivitosaka (Nectar of Life). They have little learning, their vows and commitments are broken, their capacity is low, and their conduct is degraded. The rope of love and compassion is severed, and the mad guides only increase sin. Because they have only heard one side, they do not possess the qualities of scriptural authority. Not knowing what is allowed and forbidden, their behavior violates vows and commitments, and the wisdom that realizes suchness.
