Being able to see and understand these situations. Just like having the lamp that illuminates the darkness of the three realms' nature—the three trainings of the path and the three vehicles of definitive expression—if you abandon them, you are defeated on the battlefield of ignorance. As Chandragomin says: The one stainless eye of all beings, is the common lamp of the three grounds. Whoever abandons the teaching after finding happiness and well-being, is only tormented by extreme ignorance. As it is said. Therefore, separating the essence of this text and the chapter of vowing to write, makes the practitioners of the path into suitable vessels for listening to the Dharma. Now, in order to arrange the actual body of the text, generally all treatises are bound by the ties of five kinds of arithmetic beginnings. It can be determined by teaching, explaining, and summarizing, or unfolded like a flowing stream. There are six ways of explaining: word explanation, meaning explanation, distinction explanation, extensive explanation, difficult point explanation, and story explanation. Since the time for teaching is uncertain, here the main focus is on the extensive explanation method, and experiencing the combination of words. Among them, first, the collection of leisure and endowment is arranged, divided into five parts: classification of human bodies, explanation of the eight obstacles of non-leisure, determination of the nature of leisure and endowment, explanation of the reasons for being difficult to obtain, and summarizing the meaning of this chapter. The first part is: Thus, the wilderness of suffering in samsara is like a container of all evils, a pit of various births, a place that is impure like a great cemetery and emits wails. Obtaining a human body as a basis, not all can become pure vessels of Dharma. For a long time, in the familiar wilderness of samsara, heads and limbs are cut off and suffer, and in the future they will also suffer, those who are hidden still crave the happiness of the heavens and are ignorant. Just like this, merely dwelling in it brings suffering, all actions create evil, completely mixed with the nature of sin, doing much but with little result, accompanied by unpleasant sounds, even if enjoyment is obtained it cannot be trusted, even among many there is fear, like an unemptied water container that does not hold merit, separated from friends and relatives, and in the past also...

Those who have experienced the endless suffering of being dismembered, and who will continue to suffer the torment of being devoured by demons, those states never praised by the holy ones, those ignorant ones who know nothing of the acceptance or rejection of good and evil, are called "merely a human body," meaning they never have the opportunity to be liberated from samsara. As it is said in the Sutra of the Precious Sky: Some are born into the human world due to the merit of previous good deeds, their faculties are complete, and they are constantly born in lands where Dharma is practiced, yet they do not understand karma and the ripening of karma. They rely heavily on and practice the path of non-virtue. Although these are called humans, they are ultimately base, for after death they will fall endlessly into the lower realms. Similarly, those who have not entered the path of the teachings, or even if they have, practice a mixture of good and evil, and who, with little thought for the future, are entirely devoted to distractions and the qualities of desire, do not adhere to the vows of renunciation, are attached only to worldly pleasures, are filled with pride in their wealth and youth, and are ignorantly attached to the five objects of desire, as the teacher Mati Citra said: The objects that bring joy, the youth that brings pride, and the actions that are done at will, are all doors to doing meaningless things. As it is said, those whose body, speech, and mind are extremely undisciplined and frivolous, even if they temporarily hear the Dharma, or abandon the appearance of householders, or proclaim eloquent Dharma talks, and even occasionally seem to practice virtuous Dharma, because their actions are not continuous and are greatly mixed with sinful intentions and actions, and because they are ignorant, they will still fall into and be immersed in the lower realms. Even so, they are slightly superior to the lower realms and the state of merely a human body, and because they possess the seed of liberation, they can be called a special human body. As it is said in the Sutra of the Precious Sky: Among sentient beings, those who have not entered this Dharma, or even if they have, practice a mixture of good and evil, indulging in distractions and agitation, whose body, speech, and mind are undisciplined and frivolous, those who will fall into the three lower realms and are destined to be immersed in the lower realms.
