Since one can accumulate initially, why can't one confess ultimately? In particular, not giving rise to a concealing mind, feeling regret for misdeeds, and openly proclaiming them, this is the best antidote. The sutra also says: There are two kinds of virtuous people: those who do not commit transgressions, and those who correct themselves after committing transgressions. Just as if poison enters the stomach, one should immediately seek medical help and induce vomiting. In the continuums of sentient beings, the cause of being born in the lower realms—karma and afflictions—has not been eliminated. Even with just the difference in the flow of thoughts, it is easy to create negative karma as easily as breathing. Therefore, as an antidote, generating strong regret for past actions is the power of eradication; relying on the Three Jewels and the Lama to confess is the power of reliance; performing prostrations, circumambulations, reciting confession prayers, remembering the fear of the ripening results, and practicing Dharma, etc., all virtuous deeds, this is the power of the antidote of universal application; the difference in the power of turning away from misdeeds is that even if all the wealth of the three thousand worlds were piled up as a reward for committing sins, or if one were to cut off a piece of flesh every day, saying that abandoning the holy Dharma would exempt one, one should not abandon it. For it is said in the sutra: Even if I am burned or killed, or my head is smashed, I will never submit to the realm of afflictions. Therefore, confessing with such a fourfold power, and relying on the teachings of the Tathagata, even the karma of the five heinous crimes can be purified. As it says in the 'Letter to a Friend': 'He who was formerly heedless, but later becomes mindful, is as beautiful as the moon freed from clouds, like Nanda, Angulimala, Suddrishti, and Jivaka.' Among them, Nanda refers to a young man of the Shakya clan, who was lustful. If he was separated from his wife Pundarika for even a moment, he could not feel happy. Even after he was ordained by the Tathagata, he only thought of his wife day and night, not of the Dharma. Even so, the Teacher skillfully led him to the realms of gods and hells, showed him the impermanence of heavenly bliss, and ultimately attained the state of an Arhat.

Please place him in a high position. Angulimala was the son of a Brahmin, who, like ordinary people in the world, was both brave and foolish. He listened to the words of an evil teacher who said, "What is not Dharma can also be transformed into Dharma," and killed nine hundred and ninety-nine people, adorning his body with garlands made of each finger. Later, the teacher had him ordained, thereby freeing him from the desires of the three realms. Visible One is King Ajatashatru, who possessed hatred in his own mind, and also encountered unwholesome friends, and due to past grudges, killed his father, King Bimbisara, who possessed Dharma. His descendant, Deva, also due to improper attention, killed his own mother because of the sin of defiling another's wife. Both of them relied solely on the teachings of the Tathagata, and were thus freed from hell like a phallus wrapped in silk being struck, thereby experiencing the happiness of the heavens. Therefore, in all circumstances, taming the mind is the essence of the instructions. The Blessed One said: You must tame your mind! The mind is the root of all dharmas. As it is said in the scriptures, the mind is the forerunner of all things, therefore, the wholesome mind should be as firm as a drawing on stone, and the unwholesome mind should be like drawing on water, with regret and repentance, disappearing immediately. As the teacher Aryadeva said: The mind is like water, earth, and stone, and drawing on them should be understood in this way. Among them, for those with afflictions, the former is the best, and for those who desire Dharma, the latter is the best. Now, in order to avert those undesirable results, the nature of the ten virtuous actions is explained. Therefore, in the impure state of being under the control of others, the ten virtuous paths that lead to higher realms, turning away from the ten non-virtuous actions, one should properly cultivate the ten virtuous actions. By cultivating the ten virtuous actions, with ten shares of meritorious fortune, one can be reborn in the happy realms, and with ten non-virtuous actions, one can be reborn in the lower realms. Discriminating between black and white causes and effects is the path of the lesser person. In this regard, in the treatises of the Yogacara school, all phenomena are divided into three great
