As it is said, "Timuk (Tibetan: ཏི་མུག) is extremely rare and should be cherished." Even so, it is necessary to explain for the benefit of those who can be tamed. (10) As stated in the sutra: "Oh, monks, these two persons generate much merit, eradicate the root of evil, fight with demons, overthrow the banner of demons, erect the banner of Dharma, and turn the wheel of Dharma of the Tathagata. What are the two? They are the one who respectfully teaches the Dharma and the one who respectfully listens to the Dharma here. Therefore, you should teach the Dharma with respect and listen to the Dharma with respect to the lamas." As it is said, in whatever life one holds the treasure of the Dharma, the Tathagata and his retinue will remember him. He will always remember his past lives, hear the Dharma from the Buddha, and quickly attain its fruition, and so on. Listening purifies the defilements of the mind, cuts the bonds of doubt, is always inseparable from the holy Dharma, obtains the retention of non-forgetfulness, does not fall into evil destinies and wrong paths, is protected by the gods of the white side, has few diseases and harms, obtains the eye of wisdom, and quickly liberates from samsara, without a doubt attaining the fruition of omniscient wisdom. Therefore, as it is said in the sutra: "Listening makes one know the dharmas, listening makes one turn away from evil, listening makes one abandon the meaningless, listening makes one attain nirvana. (11)" and so on. Now entering the second fundamental chapter, which is entering the meaning of the main text. Generally speaking, all treatises are bound by the constraints of the five types of arithmetic heads (རྩིས་མགོ་རྣམ་པ་ལྔ), and are determined by teaching, explaining, and summarizing, or they can be unfolded like a flowing stream. The ways of explanation include: explanation of words and sentences, explanation of meaning, explanation of distinctions, extensive explanation, explanation of difficulties, and explanation of stories, but the timing of the exposition is uncertain. Therefore, here the essence is the explanation of words and sentences, and the main focus is on personally experiencing the meaning to be elucidated. Among them, first, the collection of leisure and endowment is classified into five points: distinguishing the human body, explaining the eight unfavorable conditions of no leisure, determining the nature of leisure and endowment, explaining the reasons for its rarity, and summarizing the meaning of this chapter. The first point is explained by "from a long time ago" and so on, that is, from a long time in the past.

From the beginning of regarding afflictions as friends, in the dense jungle pasture of samsara, one suffers from being beheaded and dismembered. In the future, one will inevitably suffer torment. Now, those who are blinded by the screen of ignorance and cannot see (12) still crave the happiness of the contaminated heavens, thinking how wonderful it would be to attain them. Those who cling to this are extremely foolish. As Mati Citra said, "The objects that bring joy, the youth that brings satisfaction, and the freedom to act as one pleases are all doors to doing meaningless things." Also, as it says in the "Admonition to a Student," "Whoever enters the wheel of samsara, which is constantly turning, and thinks that merely dwelling within it is happiness, will surely, gradually and involuntarily, wander hundreds of thousands of times in equal and unequal realms." Here, "equal" refers to gods and humans, and "unequal" refers to the lower realms. Among them, those who do not practice virtue or evil only attain an ordinary human body, while those who mix virtue and evil are called special human bodies. Second, to explain the obstacles that do not allow leisure in the direction of virtue, there are three parts: teaching, proof, and explanation. First is the teaching part. As it says in the sutra, "Called Thought Destruction," etc., with inverted and confused thoughts, destroying the good result of attaining eternal happiness, one will fall lower and lower from this life to the endless future. One will wander in the three lower realms, the formless realm, the borderlands, those with incomplete faculties, wrong views, and the dark ages when no Buddha appears. (13) Second is the separate explanation, which has eight parts. First, as it says in the sutra, "Called a Moment," etc., even the opportunity for a moment of peaceful rest is exhausted. One does not seek happiness, but on the burning iron ground, one suffers the cruel punishment of various weapons, and is deprived of life again and again. However, due to the power of karma, the hell beings who cannot die are still bound by the evil karma of anger and suffer continuous torment forever. Second, as it says in the sutra, "Called Pus and Blood," etc., those hungry ghosts who cannot even find unclean things like pus, blood, and feces to eat are poor and destitute, and their suffering goes without saying. They long for rivers and trees, but what they see is
