Without marveling at that, They admire those with wandering minds. Ema! You have met the actual Buddha, the Lama, Obtained the essence of the ripening and liberating instructions. Abandoning the activities of this life in your mind, Cutting off speech, the source of non-virtue, Giving up pleasing others, seeking food, Happy with whatever happens, joyful in life and death, Being able to stay with a determined mind, I think it's very amazing! I join my palms in admiration and praise. The yogi who has given up this life is without fabrication, (845) For those who transform their minds to the true meaning, Although instructions and advice are not needed, For the sake of measuring reality, They engage in profound discussions of experience and realization. Emaho! This present awareness, Do not meditate on it even a hair's breadth with the mind. If you meditate, it will become a mind-made view. When you leave it relaxed without meditating, Do not give rise to conceptual analysis of belief. If you do, there is a danger of falling into error. When you are staying in self-knowing and self-awareness, Do not set up a guard of clinging mindfulness. If you do, there is a danger of being deceived by meditation. When abiding has reached stability, Do not let it wander into emptiness, There is a danger of falling into the unstated. When thoughts suddenly arise, Do not stare and elaborate. Rest in the inseparability of what arises and the one who arises. If you don't see any difference in the continuation of abiding, (846) Without clinging to the taste of experience, Rest in awareness without any attachment to any side. When the thorns of hope and fear arise, Without binding them with deliberate grasping, Rest in the blending of space and awareness. When bad circumstances arise in a tumultuous way, Without being discouraged or disheartened, Rest in cutting off the root of self-grasping. When death comes forcibly, Without hope or fear, Rest naked awareness in relaxation. In the Great Perfection, the original liberation, Rest in a state without even a particle to meditate on, Rest without even a hair's breadth to wander. Even if mindfulness is continuous, If you don't realize that the one who remembers is self-liberated, It becomes the cause of clinging to clinging mindfulness. Relax and rest in genuine mindfulness. If dreams are not purified in space, Even if you fall asleep with a meditative mind, It is a habit of great one-pointedness. Cut off the root of sleep appearances and rest. If you don't realize the vastness of original non-arising, (847) Even if the clinging of mind is profound, There is no difference from the formless gods. Throw the meditator into space and rest. If you are not liberated from the expanse of mind, Even if you boast of a high view, It has not transcended the nature of conceptual thought.
