Therefore, from the chapter on the Axe Hand Seal, on the eight-petaled lotus mandala, stack three layers of stepped encircling lines, and in its center, place the essence of subduing. Om Tag Bhana MaraNa Na (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). On the eastern lotus, place the essence of subduing rakshasas. Om Raksha Khaga Nana Na (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). In the south, place the essence of subduing heretics. Om TiRaTiKa Nana Na (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). In the west, place the essence of subduing obstacles. Om BigNan MaraYaNa Na (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). In the north, place the essence of subduing misleaders. Om TrangKa Rin Na (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). On the four corner lotuses, write Hum Dha, Hum Pa, Hum Ma, Hum Sa (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). (792) On the stepped edge, draw four skulls with willow branches. On the circular encircling line, hang a rosary of bones. On its outer layer, draw snakes. Having arranged the mandala in this way, wrap it with a red thread and place it in the center of the mandala. This is the oral instruction for subduing arrogance. Without fabrication and with clear focus, if one possesses the three wisdoms and understands its meaning, then with just one torma, all activities will be accomplished. The lower practices also follow this principle. As in the preliminary auspicious great assembly, after the blessing of the medicine torma is completed, the generation stage of the upper yoga is: Ah! In the state of non-abiding nature, the spontaneously accomplished wisdom immeasurable palace, stably abides in the precious charnel ground. Without inner and outer, vast, pervasive, and clear. In the triangular dark blue flame, the red moon is the aspect of subjugation. Four skull-cups of supreme wisdom, twelve and sixteen iron fortresses with abysses. Four stepped seats of vajra bone ornaments, a red courtyard with door rings, a square door with stirrups. The top of the sky (793) Om, the iron flame blazes high. Eight gods, eight nagas, trees and corpses, web-like and semi-web-like, hanging and transforming in the water. Elephants, dragons, lions, and tigers, turtles, crocodiles, meteoric iron hailstones. Fields and small fields, surrounding the skulls, the doorways are adorned by goddesses. From the unborn realm, wisdom manifests, in the palace of the wrathful E, a million nagas, a thousand genyen, a hundred masters. Seats of the guardians of the directions, Maheshvara, sun and moon, in the center is the spontaneously accomplished body that subdues arrogance, the color of dark blue poison hala, three heads, six arms, and four legs. The right side is like a blue lotus, devouring corpses and flesh, gazing fiercely. The left side is red, offering genyen. The central one is dark blue, devouring enemies, obstacles, and earth lords. The right hand holds a vajra, wheel, and sword, the left holds an axe, wooden staff, and threatening mudra. Dressed in elephant hide and charnel ground clothing, snakes.

And adorned with precious bodhicitta, the head bears the form of the five wrathful ones, the heart of the arrogant and the head of the Naga, the necklace completes the attire of the wrathful one. Likewise, the dharmadhatu is the wrathful mother, dark blue-black, holding a heart-cutting curved knife in embrace. (794) In the heart of the main deity is the form of Yama, the wrathful vajra, dark purple-black and terrifying. He holds a wheel of bodhicitta in his hand. In the heart of Yama is the great arrogant one, the victorious vajra, green-black and fierce. He holds a vajra heart garland in his hand. In the heart of the arrogant one is a palace, the jealous vajra, a terrifying form, bones crossed and looking downwards. On the crown of the head is a bat and a lotus, the desire vajra, a form that subdues with power. He has the power to attract corpses, and two jealous garudas, blue-black. On the breasts are lions, on the arms are tigers. The axe, black snake, and jackal are fierce. Many small wrathful ones fill the body. The city of skulls has tumors on the four corners. To the east, the Dharma King rides a black buffalo, holding the life of the three realms. To the south is the black Yamavati, riding a water buffalo, greedy for blood, with a triangular mouth. To the west, Naka Ava, black bull-headed, rides a mule and exercises kingship. To the north, hair braided in nine purple-black strands, riding a black snake, harms beings.
