The three mandalas. The excellent mandala of higher meditation. Shows the supreme Bodhicitta and assembly. The commentary on this, if explained according to one's own system from the three types of tantra commentaries, then the mandala of self-nature is: the self-nature of all dharmas, how it is primordially completely pure. The mandala of images is: how it appears to the sensory realm of sentient beings, yet all spontaneously. Although there are about nine commentaries on the Magical Net Secret Essence written by Indian and Tibetan translators, the most well-known now are the Jewel Commentary by Barma Rongzom Chokyi Zangpo of Ganden Phunsumling, and the Illuminating Mirror by Yungton Dorje Palwa. And the commentary by Kham Bar Kunkhyen Chenpo. Maha Lotsawa Dharmashri also contributed to this teaching. It is considered the mandala of accomplishment. Especially the image is: more special than that, whatever has become a symbol of the mudra, such as statues and stupas. The mandala of meditation (229) is: realizing all dharmas as inseparable in the mandala of body, speech, and mind, and making that the object of meditation. The higher meditation is: distinguishing from that basis the lineage of each deity, and clearly visualizing the body color, hand symbols, etc., separately. The secret Bodhicitta mandala is: the supreme mandala of the great bliss of Bodhicitta itself, showing the oral instructions for realizing and meditating on it. The assembly mandala is like this: All the deities gather, All the noble beings gather, The supreme assembly mandala, Is said to be assembled in suchness. As it is said. The second has three: seeking externally, seeking internally, and seeking secretly. The first is: From the action text: Externally, with a coarse cloth Dharma robe and a swaying posture, With pleasant sounds and a respectful manner, Prostrate the five limbs of the body on the ground. This is what is now commonly known as the five-limbed prostration. The second is: From the action text: Internally, Adorned with a washed face and ornaments, Beautiful and pleasing, dressed in clothes, Holding whatever deity's hand symbol is appropriate, Dancing and singing songs.
