In which it is said: The All-Encompassing Lama's Torma is, Like a hat, with a bulging belly and a pointed top, Like eight-petaled lotus flowers the size of thumbs, Surrounded by clusters of grain ears, Like the shape of a lotus bud, The center bulges out. It is said that the waist of the torma is very bulging, and from there the top gradually becomes thinner. What are the advantages of this kind of making? Similarly, the bottom of the torma is also forcibly narrowed down from the bulging part of the waist, like an overturned bowl, surrounded by eight or four lotus petals, etc., and the others are made as usual. Nowadays, some people do not think and make the Lama Torma like a straight food, Some people forcibly make it straight from the bulging part of the waist, and the bottom of the torma looks like the stem of a mushroom, which is meaningless (151), and it has not appeared in the common practice before. What is not explained in the scriptures can be determined by reasoning, and should be studied. Second, regarding the Yidam's Torma, there are also the Yidam's peaceful Torma, the Yidam's wrathful Torma, and the Torma of non-duality of peaceful and wrathful, etc., with different shapes, but what is most popular in practice now is this one, considering that the Yidam's types are mainly wrathful, so it is the Yidam's wrathful Torma. The scripture says: The Yidam Wrathful Torma is, Like a hat, round with three corners and bulging, Real horn-like small corners surround it. Like this, the previous Lama Torma had all the characteristics, and was stretched upwards from the auspicious pattern Thangka that bulged both inside and outside, making a prominent shape. In this way, one corner is naturally formed on the left and right sides. Similarly, the back should also be straight. From the bulging part of the corner to the top, it should gradually become thinner. That is to say, the root end of the three corners should be slightly bulging, like the horn of a vajra, and should have the saying "Gugapala, like the horn of a skull vajra". Some people make the front well, but the back is done sloppily, which is unreasonable. If so, it will not have the characteristics of the three corners mentioned in the scriptures. The surrounding retinues are similar to oneself, which is easy to understand. The number is the main eight deities, plus the common Torma on the back, surrounded by nine, and all the intervals are filled with small hooks.
