Instead of thinking that it is for the purpose of obtaining perfect and complete merit, offer it with pure and unfeigned intention, thinking that it is for the sake of all sentient beings who have been mothers. Offer the actual possessions and those transformed by the mind with verses. Fourth is the benefit: As stated in the White Lotus Sutra: "Even offering just one flower to the image of the Tathagata or the image painted on the wall, offering with the mind as if the body trembles, they will gradually see countless Buddhas." Thus it is said. Third, the branch of confession has three: stating the faults committed, confessing with a mind of regret, and its benefits. First: All the sins of myself and others, from beginningless time, caused by the three poisons and external objects, what I have done myself, what I have caused others to do, and what I have rejoiced in others doing, as well as the five inexpiable sins such as killing parents and killing Arhats, and the ten non-virtuous actions such as killing and stealing, whatever small or large, light or heavy karma has been accumulated, I deeply regret and vow to admit the faults. Second: Recalling all these sins, with a strong sense of remorse, confessing before all the fields of merit by remembering the four powers, this is the third branch, the antidote to delusion. From this time onwards, from beginningless and endless samsara... confess with verses. Third is the benefit: As stated in the Intermediate Mother Sutra: "Whenever one remembers, regrets arise from remembering sins, by confessing, everything is exhausted, the sons of the Victorious Ones should protect." Thus it is said. Fourth, cultivating joy in the merit of others, the branch of rejoicing has two: contemplating the difference of the object of practice, and the benefits. First: The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the assembly of noble ones, benefit sentient beings, and the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, etc., each guarding their own precepts of learning, and the householders, etc., each accumulating whatever accumulation of virtuous deeds, all of these are cultivated with a mind of rejoicing, this is the fourth branch, the antidote to jealousy. Verbally reciting: Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, etc.... to rejoice with the verses.

Secondly, the benefit is: This is easy to do and of great significance. It is said that both the person who accumulates merit and the person who generates a mind of rejoicing in that merit will receive equal merit. In the past, in the sacred land of India, the king of Kosala served by making offerings to the assembly of the Tathagata. A poor person generated a mind of rejoicing in him, and it is said that he received greater merit among equal merits. Fifth, with the altruistic intention of benefiting oneself and others, there are three branches to requesting the turning of the wheel of Dharma: In accordance with the words of the scriptures, speaking of emptiness; actually requesting the turning of the wheel of Dharma; and explaining its benefits. First: All the Buddhas who reside in the pure and limitless realms of all directions, initially, when the teacher, the perfectly complete Buddha Shakyamuni, attained perfect and complete enlightenment, he spoke the verse, "Profound, peaceful, free from elaboration, luminous, unconditioned." After that, for seven weeks he did not teach the Dharma, but focused on subtle meditation. At this time, Brahma with the crest jewel and Indra offered golden wheels with a thousand spokes and so on, urging him to turn the wheel of Dharma. It was like making such a promise. Second: In this way, the Buddhas are unwilling to teach the Dharma, but abide in equanimity, from where to where? In front of those Buddhas, one emanates countless bodies, goes to each Buddha, offers a golden wheel with a thousand spokes, and earnestly prays for the turning of the wheel of Dharma for the benefit of sentient beings, remembering the fifth branch, which is the antidote to desire. Therefore, one should urge with verses such as "In the limitless realms of all directions." Third, the benefit is: In the Sutra Requested by Jewel Crest, it says: "For the intention of the Buddhas, whoever prays, he is like a sovereign king, his merit is like a chain." It is like this. Sixth, the branch of requesting not to pass into nirvana and to remain in the world has four parts: In which place, for what purpose, for how long to pray for them to remain, and its benefits. First: All the victorious ones who, for the sake of sentient beings,
