O you who renounce, may you abide in the supreme discipline! If, like gold that has been burned, cut, and hammered, you can diligently practice the teachings, you may gain fearless courage. Rather than regarding non-harm as an obstacle, vow to uphold your own religion, refuting contradictions and faults. The treatise of Fearless Akshobhya (Tibetan: ཨཀྵོ་བཛྲ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अक्षोभ्यवज्र, Sanskrit Romanized: Akshobhyavajra, Literal Chinese meaning: Immovable Vajra), having been examined three times, is pure. May you accomplish pure refutation! May we, regarding the teachings of the Victorious One and the various religions that have branched out from it, as if classifying and compiling the eighteen schools, not allow them to enter the path of renouncing the Dharma, and may we abide in equanimity! By Dzogchen Rangjung Dorje. Chapter Fifty-Five of the Collection of Discourses. The Discourse on Primordial Purity. Called the Treasury of Twofold Purity. Homage to the Primordial Buddha! To extract the thorns of existence, the Hearers' (894) collections of scriptures are also great ships of liberation. To attain the state of omniscience, I bow to the Bodhicitta from which it arises. Among them, the profound instruction of Great Perfection is the first truth, taking the result as the path. Transcending the sequential cause and effect, or the method of antidote, it is true, it is pure, it is primordially pure, and these words are translated as "Sahajajnana" and explained. Among them, the so-called "purity" is said in the Great Play Sutra: "'Ka' refers to speech and also refers to the maturation of karma." Therefore, the Path Truth related to the Vipaka, its conventional truth itself is the meaning of "Sahaja." If explained from different perspectives, then "Yang" refers to diligently purifying later; "Viparita" refers to self-nature purity; "Kadag" and "Gzod" can refer to any before and after, therefore it is the meaning of transcending the play of the three times. The Name Praise also says: "The one who realizes the three times and the timeless." Therefore, if the meaning of the word "Kadag" is inverted, then true, pure, and primordial purity are also inverted. The Compendium Sutra says: "From primordial purity, how can beings arise?" This is the result of not understanding its intention. Therefore, when understanding the meaning of the word, "Ka" refers to the previous, and it is also the first cause of the arising of speech. In the sum of vowels and consonants, there are also A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanized: a, Literal Chinese meaning: None) and Ka (Tibetan: ཀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: क, Sanskrit Romanized: ka, Literal Chinese meaning: Ka), these two are the same essence, but their nature is different, therefore it is the meaning of no birth and no death. In the previous explanation, "A" is

"Ka" is the most supreme of all letters, a sacred letter of great significance. It does not originate from elsewhere; it is unborn. It transcends linguistic expression and is the fundamental cause of all expression. Therefore, the first letter of the vowels represents the meaning of unborn, and the first letter of the consonants represents the meaning of the unceasing cause of expression. Thus, through the sound of "Ka dag," one can comprehend the truth of non-arising and non-ceasing, as well as the meaning of dual purity. This indicates that the Path Truth transcends conditioned phenomena and is the subject to be explained. Even in mundane speech, when irrigating fields, one shouts "Ka of water" at the head of the water source. Similarly, those who distort the words of the unnamed essence also say "Ka cha," "Ka ba," and "Ka lo mi de wa," and so on. For those who are self-righteous and think that this is different from the terminology of the four Buddhist schools, this should be combined with the explanation of the Three Turnings of the Wheel of Dharma, thereby relying on the flower of words and the fruit of meaning. I have already likened this to the weapon of Vajra Splinters. Therefore, the superior individual analyzes the name through the scriptures, thereby understanding its profound meaning, which is analytical meditation related to hearing and thinking. Now, I will explain the key points of Shamatha-Vipassana meditation experienced through the wisdom of meditation. The awareness of Dzogchen is neither mind nor arising from mind. It is unmixed with the five aggregates and transcends the eight consciousnesses. Therefore, for those who follow sectarian views, with their mentally constructed annihilation and non-annihilation, and the dispelling of the eight extremes of elaboration, the post-meditation awareness transcends conditioned phenomena and is the unconditioned original liberation. As it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: "Liberation comes from seeing the truth, but seeing emptiness is bondage." Although this is so, due to the lack of sharp faculties and the absence of prior practice, one cannot understand this meaning. The mind that thinks "I will meditate" is mind, and the fifty-one mental factors are mental factors. The place where the mind wanders is the bee of form, and experiencing its taste is feeling. Mistaking conceptual thought for the Middle Way, using a sieve to distinguish is perception. Habitual tendencies increase as the cause of formation, and the nature of all is consciousness. Because these are related to objects and object-possessors, the six aggregates of consciousness arise. Therefore, distraction through analysis by understanding. (896) is meditation.
