Meditation is independent, Distraction is dependent on conceptual thought. If focus and distraction become one, how could there be the establishment of two names? However, without relying on distraction, is focus possible for the knowable? Are calm abiding and meditation one or not one? Ask the gods of the fourth dhyana. If from the enjoyment of children, one can well distinguish the meaning of the noble ones, if it is an object of focus, from the five stages, the conventional and ultimate truths, if their respective differences can be understood, if they can be correctly mixed anywhere, it is said to be union (886). That is non-dual wisdom, the non-abiding nirvana. Thus, for the separate collection, it is clear in the continuum of those who are accustomed. The method of settling meditation is like that, continuous, moistening, and subduing. Calm and extreme calm, equal in one-pointed focus. Attain equanimity in the nine minds. Although mind is not a form, it is the cause of all the outflows of the aggregates. Because of this, it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "The collections of aggregates, sense bases, and realms, the cause is mind, etc., selflessness is extremely well tamed and numerous, together with mind, it enters extremely well. These two are always luminous, having abandoned cause and effect." Thus, although the Buddha has well proclaimed the cause of the faults of the peak of existence, when refuting the intention of the Prajnaparamita Mother, one cannot find an occasion to state it directly. Even so, Saraha said: "If you trust the mind, rely on it itself, the nature of the mind has an object of focus, the objectless is emptiness, both have faults, which yogi is not a meditator?" For this meaning, one should observe further. If attention is the best of views, then it is said in the Secret Sutra: "For example, fire burns from a cause, without a cause it will be extinguished. Thus, the Tathagata burns with mind, without an object of focus it will be extinguished." If it is said like this, then the fully enlightened Buddha, also turned to the side of the Heshang. From existence itself being impermanent, he universally established the tenets of Dharmakirti. Therefore, in any place, the fruit of not being established, the way of establishing as the Dharmakaya, that limit, that's vipaka. " etc., what is said in the Ornament is sufficient. For emptiness, not focusing on anything, that meaning is non-conceptual wisdom. The lord of that, Nagarjuna, said: "I do not have the slightest conceptual wisdom, likewise, this dharma is conceptual consciousness, slightly

There will be no land. (887) Arising and knowledge itself appear to children and the ignorant. Thus it is said, its meaning is not a place. Even if one does not desire the accomplishment of dedication, the cause of the accomplishment of dedication of place, is at the peak of conditions and wishes. The true reason for this is that it acts relying on the conventional, ordinary people cannot know, the one who knows the dedication is a noble being. The meaning of all phenomena being without truth, of the colored and the non-colored, of the two ways of examining, the first is the tenet of the Hearer's school, therefore the self of a person is likened to the horn of a mule and the hair of a rabbit. The latter is non-colored, the Blessed One knows existence and non-existence, from the teachings of Katyayana, he forbade both existence and non-existence. Nothing is established anywhere, from the highest worldly dharma downwards, it is merely an appearance of non-truth, the noble ones who have attained the rank of perfect Dharma-eye are manifest. Grasping non-truth and not grasping truth, this is a vast statement, the nature of profound meaning is also, if measured by wisdom, by the reasoning of non-affirming negation and, non-negation, pervaded by being apart from one and many, established by the way of determining characteristics, and is the same as stopping after examining the self-nature of dependent arising that arises from conditions. The first is merely stopping elaboration, therefore it still has elaboration. The second, whatever phenomenon, after sharp analytical wisdom reveals the flaws, with discriminating wisdom, appearance but self-nature is not established, holding it like an illusion, and neither existence nor non-existence is established, holding it like the sky. Both are merely imputed, there is no mind for the essence of phenomena, therefore the basis of imputation of the two truths is also, when existence and non-existence, do not abide before wisdom, then there is no other distinction, it is completely pacified without an object. Thus it is combined with the Middle Way of meaning. With words that contradict it, like attaching a shadow to meat to eat, arguing with a reversed example, is like searching for an unspeakable self. Similarly, between me and mine, when examining the mind of grasping, shapes and forms, inside and outside, etc., are not seen anywhere, implicitly, if the introduction of non-elaboration that abandons the four or eight extremes is not reasonable, the one asked by Maitreya.
