Because (if someone says) "has been directly realized," then it will become conceptual thought. Thus it is said. Regarding this, among the four Buddhist schools, although the ultimate truth, which is the view of the Great Madhyamaka, is consistent at the final point of realization. However, in the causal vehicle, it is the Prajnaparamita, in the general mantra path, it is the supreme accomplishment of Mahamudra, and in the path of means, it is the co-emergent wisdom. These (practices) that are praised as stable, even if measured from the height of the philosophical tenets, the measuring mind itself is the defilement of the aggregates, mixed with the eight consciousnesses, and because it is a conceptual consciousness mixed with bias, it will lead the knowable to a direction different from reality. Therefore, in accordance with the lower tenets, first, the way to separate from the mind that clings to the five aggregates, the Blessed One said: Monks, form is not self. If form were self, there should be no harm and suffering to form, and one could say: Form, become my such form! Do not become such form! However, since form is not self, form has harm and suffering, and there is no power to say to form, become my such form! Do not become such form! The same applies to the other four aggregates. If the view of the destructible collection, which is the nature of clinging, is completely pacified, then the consciousness aggregates that act as objects and subjects will also naturally clear, and thus the noble truths will be directly seen. At that time, one will directly realize the truth that is inseparable, free from elaboration, and self-arisen wisdom, or the meaning of the first ground's samadhi (879), which is its own nature. Otherwise, for the meaning of the profound Dharma nature that is free from all extremes of elaboration, one distinguishes and analyzes with the wisdom of hearing and thinking, thereby obtaining great conviction. And, placing the mind closely in the state of deciding on the absence of extremes of existence and non-existence, that is also the conventional object of consciousness or knowledge. As it is said in the sutra: How should one cultivate the path? Answer: Do not distinguish between Dharma and non-Dharma, cultivate the path free from characteristics. Shantideva said: Ultimate truth is not the object of consciousness, consciousness is said to be conventional. Thus it is said. Some people cannot bear this quote, (and think) that consciousness has differences.

To say "it is one" indicates confusion even about the definition of conventional truth. Thus, "conventional" refers to all mistaken thoughts. "Conventional" means all that is false, deceptive, concealing, obscuring, meaningless, and veiling the true meaning, which is called conventional. Truth is true because it is true in the face of mistaken thoughts, hence it is truth. Moreover, the consciousness of ordinary beings depends on permanence and annihilation, so it is conventional. Noble ones, on the other hand, are the opposite of that, so they are manifest. Therefore, those who hope to be wise by severing imputations through hearing and thinking, examining the two truths like examining the horns of a cow with "conventional existence" and "ultimate non-existence," and viewing the aggregates as empty through analysis, is a form of subsequent cognition. As it says in the Nirvana Sutra: When I previously spoke of emptiness in the sutras of the Perfection of Wisdom, understand that it was spoken with the intention of merely indicating the absence of inherent existence. Otherwise, if one meditates on an emptiness of nothingness, the body and wisdom of the Buddha will not arise, because the result follows the cause. Therefore, the freedom from elaboration of the perfectly established nature is liberation from mind and mental activity. In contrast, those who are mindful with objects that are the opposite of that do not touch the inconceivable wisdom of the Victorious Mother (Prajnaparamita). Why? Because even though sharp intellectual analysis may become a direct manifestation of discriminating wisdom, it is merely the cause for the arising of the power of noble wisdom. It is necessary to realize that even the initial discriminating wisdom is not established. As it says in the chapter on Kashyapa: Kashyapa, just as fire arises from two pieces of wood rubbed together by the wind, and having arisen, burns the two pieces of wood, so too, Kashyapa, if there is proper discriminating, the power of noble wisdom arises, and when it arises, it also burns that very proper discriminating. Therefore, in the past, when the teachings of the fruition were complete and the teachings of transmission were very flourishing, the four great Madhyamaka reasonings, such as the Vajra Splinter, caused the supreme minds to rely on the path of wisdom of meditation, and many were liberated through hearing and thinking alone. Now, the time for practice has also passed greatly, so the Bhagavan (Blessed One).
