Practice. In the past, the Asura's invasion, Like the first of the four classes, the entry of life. The debate on the four tenets, Is the tradition of the Great Vehicle. To prove what is closest to the true meaning, And to dispel inverted wrong views. Dharmakirti made the heretics, The evil debaters as a backing, It is a great deed to promote the Dharma. Their debating intellect, Is also collected from all seven treatises on valid cognition. With the eight places of the Abhidharma-kosa, Subtly explaining the root of existence, I prostrate to Dharmottara's (876) wisdom. After sowing the seeds of transcending samsara and nirvana, Engaging in establishing and refuting, Among the ministers of little learning and great meditation, The old monkey is not surprising. Listen, in this land of snow, Even those who have become valid persons, All create debating documents due to their attachment to their own schools. Have you not seen the waves of sectarian conflicts that destroy the Dharma? Especially now, the two, Mahamudra and Dzogchen, Separating the profound differences in their respective places, In this time of purity, the views become one vessel. After placing the connection of bad commentaries in the heart, Even the terminology of words and letters, Also drifts in the public square of wandering on wrong paths, Even if the sun of eloquence shines in establishing and refuting Madhyamaka, But one should abandon faults and false words. The Buddha's teachings with threefold faith, No matter from where one deviates, it is due to foolish faith, Raising one's own school and disturbing with ignorance. My mind does not rely on this. The place of initial subjugation, Is only for the master of the scriptures. The immeasurable pure appearances, Vows are turned to other uses, Seeing the faults of attachment and aversion on which one relies, The answer to the question is, It will be even worse than ashes. Alas, the teachings of the practice lineage, Do not establish the image of speculation, Renunciation, devotion, and pure vision, Striving to practice, the obscurations of karma, afflictions, and habits, If purified by non-conceptualization, It can only benefit those with certainty. For beginners, Cutting off speech with a peaceful mind, Due to partiality to the distant and desire for fame, Distracting the mind through painting, This is not a sign of the path, Because it is blessed by the Lord of the Desire Realm. The feeling of disgust increases even more for this. In reality, the thorns of meditation,

Then, rely solely on secluded places (877). When the karmic winds become crippled, one becomes extremely weary and distressed by digging up the faults of others and engaging in meaningless chatter. Therefore, even if the eight worldly concerns, such as knowing and not knowing, have transcended suffering, if you cannot truly subdue yourself, then to whose presence should one turn again? The twenty-third chapter of "Collected Sayings" is complete. A discourse on examining the ultimate meaning of terms, called "The Drum of the Gods." Homage to the glorious Vajra Sharp! This has two parts: a general discussion of what is to be known and what knows, and the dispelling of direct doubts. First, in order for a being with a special basis to attain the state of omniscience, one must realize the non-inverted perfection of emptiness. Otherwise, the other five paths, such as generosity, are like the blind, as it is said: Countless blind people without a guide, how can they enter the city? Likewise, these five perfections without the eye of wisdom, without a guide, cannot touch enlightenment. However, if it is not with the inverted intention of self-praise and subduing others, but for the sake of examining the wisdom that is beneficial to the true meaning, if one obtains the courage to debate and answer in advance, both are the activities of the Buddhas, and should be viewed with an equanimous mind. On this, the master Nagarjuna said: If one views emptiness incorrectly, those with little wisdom will be destroyed. For example, like grasping a snake incorrectly, or practicing mantras incorrectly. Although this can lead people to speak of that which dispels the ignorance that is deluded about suchness, the ignorance newly generated by intention makes all ordinary beings wicked, and when the ultimate meaning, which is not a term, remains in the realm of what is to be known, it again increases pride and arrogance. Therefore, even the wise should abandon slandering the nature of the knower of objects. As it is said in the sutra "Showing the Inconceivable Realm of the Buddhas": "Obtaining is called deception. Realization is called arrogance. Deception and arrogance are the deeds of demons. Those with excessive pride say: 'I have obtained.' I
