The petals of the large flowers are broken, the stems of the small ones are uprooted from their base. The groups of dear bee friends are driven to the ends of the earth, depriving me of the opportunity to meet them. I am left alone in the bardo. I dreamed of waking up from sleep in such a state. Please tell me the answer, friend of my heart! The flower said: Alas, poor little bee! Your dream is truly wonderful! It is a manifestation of the confusion of the three: root, wind, and mind. I will tell you its meaning, please listen. If you have discriminating wisdom, regarding the symbolic meaning, through examination, you can also understand the truth of samsara and nirvana. The ignorant wandering cowherds, riding donkeys, run around searching for donkeys. Therefore, the difference between the wise and the foolish is very great. The very pleasant water-wood forest, symbolizes that samsara is like water-wood, without essence. It symbolizes that when you have autonomy, you must seize a stronghold. The turquoise teeth shining brightly, symbolize being deeper than the ocean of the six realms. The colorful flowers filling everywhere, symbolize attachment to them, creating the cause for falling into the lower realms. A pile of corpses of oneself and one's kind, symbolizes the inconceivable number of sentient beings in samsara. Singing sweet songs, intoxicated with nectar, symbolizes being deceived by seeing suffering as happiness. Southern dark clouds covering the sky, symbolize the darkness of karma chasing from behind. The turquoise dragon making a thunderous sound, symbolizes the messengers of Yama shouting terrifyingly. Hail falling from the sky, symbolizes being afflicted by diseases caused by the imbalance of the four elements. The petals of the flowers being broken, symbolizes the separation of the illusory body and mind. All the dear friends being driven to the ends of the earth, symbolizes that the end of companionship is inevitably separation. Being left alone in the bardo, symbolizes having no reliance on the state of the deceased. Alas, the dream is truly wonderful! It is certain.
