Having taken birth as a deer, therefore, the mother's flesh should not be eaten by the offspring. There is nothing more shameless than that, nothing more cold-hearted than that. If you were to experience the suffering of the uninterrupted hell, what could you do? Therefore, listen to the advice of the sage, let this mother flee three steps, let this mother leap three steps. In place of this, my body, I give to you without hesitation, flesh, blood, and bones (758) as you please. Having said this, the hunter became angry and said: Unconquered lands, skilled in empty talk; unfed bellies, skilled in enjoying pleasures; incapable people, skilled in renunciation; impoverished in dwellings, hiding in rocks; impoverished in paths, seeking empty valleys. Someone like you dares to speak such words to me, it's simply outrageous. So-called karma is just empty talk, who would believe in it? The one who kills is me, the hunter, but the ones who eat are the practitioners. If there is a difference in the sin of eating and killing, it would be laughable. You all, having abandoned the signs of householders, covering your faces with red and yellow robes, even go to the places where butchers slaughter animals, and where householders discuss matters, and where false weights and measures are set up, even to the places where fierce demons burn ram's heads, are you not involved with karma? From this morning when the sky dawned, until now when the sun is setting, I haven't tasted water before food. Even if I'm hungry, I won't eat human flesh. Before the arrow pierces my heart, it's best to return to your own place. Having spoken with anger and ferocity, he drew his bow and arrow. The sage said: Although the hunter is fierce, the sage does not cherish life. If you don't kill it first, how could others eat it alive? For practitioners who behave improperly, and for hearers who uphold the discipline, the two hundred and fifty precepts, the pursuit of karma will never fail. From the eighteen hell realms below, to the peak of existence above, all phenomena of karma are the result of karma and its fruits. Therefore, regarding such a truth, I, the sage, am more knowledgeable than you. For the ignorant to proclaim the Dharma, is the lowest of the wicked. Now, the pitiful, the object of compassion, this innocent (759) deer, let this life be sought from me, the sage, I entrust my life to you, the hunter. The sage had great compassion for the deer, and then conjured it with magical power, the deer

To save its life, it selflessly offered its body and even pleaded with the hunter as if about to fall, but the hunter was unwilling to change his mind. He shot a very vicious poisoned arrow at the dying beast, and the animal fell from the cliff with its ears erect into a huge canyon. Immediately, the hunter, along with his dog, ran over with a "hab" sound and instantly killed the dying, very pitiful animal with a merciless mind. The righteous one, unable to bear the sorrow, fainted and lost consciousness. In "The Tale of the Wild Animal - Messenger of Liberation," it says: Those who do not remember the Dharma and are attached to worldly happiness and wealth cannot escape the abyss of suffering, and in that state, death will be forced upon them, and there is no way to deceive it, just like a wild animal being cornered. This is the content of the second chapter. At that time, the great righteous one thought: I have spoken so much about the benefits of good deeds and the faults of sins, and with great compassion urged (people) to exchange their own lives, but the hunter did not give up the life of the wild animal and ultimately completed his evil deeds, which is very unreasonable. Just as the great compassionate leader killed a black man with a short spear, the saying "sacrificing one life to benefit hundreds" is absolutely true. Therefore, he thought that if sinners live long, they will cause many sentient beings to suffer, so from the state of luminous emptiness, he prayed with great wrathful compassion and recited twenty-one irreversible curses of the righteous one. By the true power of the extremely powerful curse and the severe punishment of the Three Jewels (Tibetan: དཀོན་མཆོག), the hunter and his dog were crushed under the shadows and died. There, their non-meritorious karmic force was exhausted, and like being transformed into lamp wicks, they immediately took rebirth in the Avici Hell, a huge hell, almost at the moment of death. There, the righteous one observed with clairvoyance that they were all in hell, and in the most painful Avici Hell among all the hells, where all four directions and eight points had become the center of a sea of fire. Unbearable suffering
