The Bodhisattvas are those who have exhausted defilements, are completely liberated, and dwell in the rain of wisdom that has attained forbearance of the unarisen Dharma. That supreme offering, too, is dedicated to the great seal of Dharma, and it is good to turn the head of the offering towards the left side of wisdom in the gate of dependent origination, which arises from the lineage of the Victorious Ones' intention. Although there are only five actually shown offerings, from the aspect of mental creation, as in the seven-branch offering of the Gandavyuha, "Excellent flowers, excellent garlands, and excellent necklaces." Furthermore, the method of offering by taking all animate and inanimate objects that are held as objects of desire for the six senses is as explained in the Bodhicaryavatara and the Mayajala, etc. The second is the unsurpassed offering: the great seal of offering that arises from the play of wisdom of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who have attained power over many doors of dharani and samadhi. Because there is no offering higher than that, it is called unsurpassed, that is, the unsurpassed Dharma offering. As it is said in the Ratnakuta Sutra: "Noble son, the Dharma offering is the most excellent among all offerings." And: "Son of good family, the Dharma offering is that which the Tathagata has spoken of, the profound and deep Sutras, which are incompatible with all the world, difficult to understand, difficult to reveal, difficult to comprehend, subtle, peaceful, invisible, belonging to the Bodhisattva Pitaka, sealed with the seal of dharani and the king of Sutras, proclaiming the irreversible wheel, arising from the six perfections, not completely grasping phenomena, possessing the Dharma of the aspects of enlightenment, belonging to the accomplishment of the limbs of enlightenment, engaging in great compassion for sentient beings, proclaiming great love, eliminating all demonic views, proclaiming dependent origination, selflessness, no sentient beings, no life, no person, corresponding to emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, non-action, unarisenness, and non-existence, accomplishing the essence of enlightenment, well turning the wheel of Dharma, gods, nagas, and yakshas.

Kinnaras and, Gandharvas and, Asuras and, Garudas and, Kinnaras and, the lords of the great belly-goers (727) are highly praised and extolled, not cutting off the lineage of the holy Dharma, holding the treasury of the Dharma, entering the supreme Dharma offering, being completely held by all the noble beings, accurately showing all the practices of the Bodhisattvas, entering into the accurate knowledge of the meaning of truth individually, the Dharma Sutra necessarily arising from impermanence and, suffering and, selflessness and, peace, the stingy ones and, the immoral ones and, the harmful-minded ones and, the lazy ones and, the forgetful ones and, those with perverse wisdom, the prejudiced ones, the other opponents and, the seven views, and all those who are manifestly attached to the object are done by abandoning, praised by all the Buddhas, the antidote to the side of samsara, accurately showing the bliss of nirvana, such Sutras accurately showing and, holding and, individually discerning and, collecting all the holy Dharma, that is called Dharma offering. Thus it is said. O King of Gods, it is better to offer Dharma offering than to offer material offerings inwardly. Do not entertain me with material things, but paint me with Dharma entertainment. Thus it is said. Although it is so, Bodhisattvas on the path of accumulation and joining and ordinary beings cannot accomplish Dharma offering, therefore one should only strive for material offerings, and the greatness of striving in that way is also to recite the Dharani of the Cloud of Offerings and to know the benefits, in the Indian language: Pūjā mī ghā mā ma dhā da ṇa. In Tibetan: The Dharani called Cloud of Offerings. Homage to the Three Jewels. Namo Ratna Trayāya, Namo Bhagavate, Vajra Sāra Pramardane, Tathāgatāya, Arhate Saṃmyaksaṃbuddhāya, Tadyathā, Oṃ Vajre Vajre, Mahā Vajre Mahā Teja Vajre, Mahā Vidyā Sāhā, Mahā Bodhicitta Vajre, Mahā Bodhi Maṇḍo Ba Saṃkramaṇa Vajra, Sarva Karma (728) Avaraṇa, Viśva Dhana Vajra Svāhā. The ritual of this Dharani is this: in the moment of mere remembrance, the Buddhas residing in the ten directions, as many as the grains of sand in the Ganges, will be transformed into offerings and prostrations will be made at their feet.
