Always protect with right view. When, with discriminating thoughts, one probes that which is not the object of consciousness, the peaceful, unconditioned ultimate reality, there is great danger of falling into the abyss of eternalistic or nihilistic extreme views. Why is this so? Because ultimate truth is inconceivable and unconditioned. The object of discriminating thought is always related to consciousness, measuring the expanse with consciousness is like a flower in the sky. This principle is consistent with all the Buddha's scriptures, especially inquire into the verses of the Collected Topics. Those who say, "Mine is right (535), others are wrong," though many such speakers exist in the snowy land of Tibet, that which is considered "right" is precisely the clinging to one's own view, that which is considered "wrong" is precisely the abyss of eternalistic or nihilistic extreme views. This principle does not exist in the state of equipoise. Those who speak thus, not with a bad motivation, placing (bad) views in their hearts, but rather, ultimate and relative bodhicitta, are the habits constantly cultivated in the heart. In short, what need is there to say more about this? Practice relies on the path of a Bodhisattva, may you attain supreme accomplishment on the path of view, Abhidharma, meditation, and secret mantra. This is the most secret play of the excellent horse, the place where the vajra stake that subdues the captor resides. In the speech of the reincarnation of Sermai Monastery, Mönlam Rapjampa, spoken by the self-arisen vajra of the degenerate age. Thirteenth chapter of the Discourse. A Garland of Seven Admonitions, a Message to Students. Homage to the Teacher, Infinite Glory. You are a treasure trove of various treatises, even when invited, you do not easily reveal yourself, to whom should I proclaim this? Words corresponding to one's capacity, perhaps there will be, the clouds of old age have covered your face. 1 Like Mount Meru, with clothes that have east-west dividing lines, like specks of gold dust on a mountain, steps are piled up, the sound of Nada with seven harmonious tones, transformed into the form of letters, with this I pay homage. 2 In the leisure of the eight freedoms, with colorful paints, distinguishing the sad moments of gathering and scattering, weaving on the loom of friendship, with truthful words, you pluck the strings of Brahma, Shri Devi, and Daṇḍin. 3 The life of a person is like the dance of lightning, in a dark life, encountering kalpas, knowing the difference between happiness and suffering (536), from manifestation strive towards the increasing vine. 4 The cause of this is harming life, and so on.

The ten paths of action of body, speech, and mind, Like honey on the edge of a razor, Having seen, strive for the correct view of the world. 5 The cause of wealth is attachment and stinginess, From which it arises and grows like a mountain king, But because of common deceit, destruction, theft, and robbery, Engage in the practice of a hundredfold offering. 6 Having become a vessel of the law of the first turning of the wheel, Even if it has become like a hole pierced by the weapon of the degenerate age, The mind of enlightenment, the foundation of sacred qualities, Practice it always, six times day and night. 7 More than the asceticism of cutting off the senses and suffering, The asceticism of patience with the enemy of hatred, Is very close to the path of nirvana, Therefore, abandoning the basis of harming others is the ornament of renunciation. 8 In the city of Rajagriha and the city of laziness, Having seen the holy diligence lying dormant, With the iron hook that raises the vine of virtue, Entwine the two-drinking vine of Kanakhata. 9 In order to know the origin of the truth of suffering, the arising, And the liberation that cuts off the root, Strive only for the vow to practice the training of mind and wisdom, In the meaning of meditation. 10 The five faces arrogant with lineage, beauty, learning, and youth, And proud with great power, Are the hanging rope of the well of non-merit, Following after, they eat themselves. 11 By looking at partiality between self and others, With the hatred of slander, abuse, and defeat, By giving great disturbance to one's own mind, Abandon discrimination on the bed of ease. 12 Beings are like the fruits of Amalaka (537), The inner and outer manifestations of realization are not the same, Therefore, with words that are true and pleasing to the heart, Protect both self and others and cause little harm. 13 Even if hundreds of doors of mind and mental factors are opened, There is nothing like desire for creating ruin, Those embodied beings who are under its control, Many have gone to fire, water, and the battlefield. 14 Like those who do not know satisfaction and are difficult to fill, Who are stingy in giving and vigilant in guarding, Who praise themselves and disparage others, and delight in samsara, Flee from childish and sinful companions. 15 Except for those who have seen the truth, All those who call themselves monks, Brahmins, and lamas, Because of the eight worldly concerns such as gain and loss, Are deceivers who have not kept their vows.
