I say that even insects and flies in damp places are licked by the tongue. They do not live alone, but in groups. It is said that Kṛṣṇa or Khri-nyen, because he has a rare and compassionate heart, even when chased by others to take his life, he worries that his hooves will trample on small animals on the road, so he clears them away with his nose. Therefore, great accomplished ones make this a cause for increasing bodhicitta and consider it very precious. It is said that hearing the sound of a conch shell also generates bodhicitta, so this is good for a conch shell that is blown. The holy one's good wishes have long been passed down. Because even animals have the seed of bodhi, what about all sentient beings who have been swallowed by sin? It is said that in Calcutta, formerly the wife of Īśvara, Caṇḍī, died, and Īśvara could not bear to discard the corpse, so he held her and circled the world, and her limbs were scattered in various places, and her head fell in a certain place. Now there is a stone head with a long tongue in a temple. There, many sentient beings are killed and blood sacrifices are made. From there, five days' journey to the west, there is a temple where it is said that formerly King Rāma planted trees when he waged war against the rākṣasas (441). There are many weapons there, and nearby there are white sandalwood trees, but even if their seeds are planted in other places, they will not grow. It is said that in these places, it is also common for young wives to be cremated with their husbands' corpses after their husbands die. In general, these people have fallen into wrong views, so in Śāntipura, formerly King Bhagīratha of that country, because the former Savior Sengge destroyed the enemy's army, he was born in the hellish fire, and in order to extinguish the hellish fire, he pleased Brahmā, and thus brought forth the Ganges River. The main object of worship is the Ganges River that comes from the Mugśudhī palace. Who made the red-hot ground? From where did these flames come? All of these are said to be because of being able to control sinful thoughts well. Just like the result of the habit of one's own sinful thoughts, appearing like a dream on one's own face, how can water extinguish the common hellish fire that appears? Those who do not understand are very pitiful and are objects of great compassion. Because of wrong understanding and the actions that follow, this is the fault of exhausting merit.

To the north of Antapur, the country of Bengal is surrounded by four large markets. The golden palace and other things mentioned in the biography of Jowo, all the supports and the supported, seem to have been around for a long time. Now the name of that capital is called Mugshudar Nobab. Previously, that capital, including Tiling, was seized by the (British) Perangpa, and the former capital had to pay a salary of 160,000 rupees per year. In the past, when that country was prosperous, there were two (442) ponds in the courtyard surrounded by brick fences, the Pearl Pond and the Hira Pond. On top of the two ponds were eight pavilions. The Hira Pond, with its steps and stone stairs, when the flowers were in full bloom, people thought that if they could catch the celestial maiden coming from the sky to bathe, that would be great. A shoe was left behind in the traces of flying in the sky, and a person named Shahid said it was worth 100,000 rupees. One of the ponds was cursed, so it appears blood-red, and now it is said that it cannot be used for bathing or drinking. To the west of Bengal, there is a large country called Patna, and the people there are called Mughals. On the way from Calcutta to the sea, there are places where salty sand is boiled to make salt. In general, these places are as rich as the heavenly realm, comfortable, with many cities, and all the roads are made of brick, so they are very clean. Walking on them does not lead to liberation, so for foolish, clinging people, it is like a paradise. To its northwest is the appearance of the Varanasi temple, and the appearance of the town of Kashi. The cloth of Kashika is produced from here, and the cloth is very long and thin to the point of being transparent inside and out. Even if placed on grass, it will not obscure the color of the green grass. From there, going south, there is a great and powerful sacred place called Gaya, located in the Brahmin continent, which is a place for giving alms to both the living and the dead. Inside the courtyard surrounded by iron fences, there is a stone stupa, a stone statue of Avalokiteśvara, and what is said to be the footprint of Shakyamuni Buddha. People worship there, and if they call out the names of their ancestors, it is said that they will be liberated from the lower realms. Whether this is Magadha is just a guess, and it is not completely certain. Non-Buddhist ascetics, Shona Bhran (शोनाभ्रं, śonābhraṃ, Shona Bhran), Bherangi (भेरंगी, bheraṃgī, Bherangi), Jogi, etc.
