Since wisdom and compassion are confused, wandering inferiorly on the wrong path, views are degenerated in solitary places, abandoning scriptural authority and reasoning, those who confuse Dharma and individuals cannot understand. Therefore, for these people, combining stories and understandable dialects, without relying on scriptural authority, reasoning, and arguments, seeing that great benefits can be achieved, therefore, the collection of stories, those that are arbitrary, are compiled into chapters. All who enter the path of liberation and abandon samsara are the ultimate conclusion of the teacher Buddha. As it is said in the Uttaratantra, "Among the three realms, the speech that subdues afflictions, whatever speaks of the qualities of peace, that is the speech of a sage, and the opposite is otherwise." So it is said. The first chapter of the story collection is complete. Sky observation, called the speech of planets and stars, is the earring of the wheel. Each constellation has four feet. Each foot has fifteen hours. Separate and measure it like this. Krittika is eight feet of the Pleiades. The four quarters of the Pleiades are high in the house of Aries. Three feet of the Pleiades, Rohini, and half of Mrigashira are the house of Taurus.
