The practice of offering the mandala. If one diligently performs the actions of generosity, fire offerings, and consecrations, and the actions of offering tormas (sacrificial cakes) to both great and lesser spirits, then life and merit will increase. Because it is the cause of enlightenment, one should strive to perform this action. Thus it is said. In this very text, it says: Whosoever desires to swiftly accomplish liberation and omniscience, it is extremely important to diligently offer mandalas at all times and in all ways. The qualities and benefits of offering mandalas are: temporarily possessing perfect enjoyment, being free from the suffering of poverty, generating vast enjoyment, generating unwavering faith in the noble guru, and generating special wisdom in the lineage of the Great Vehicle. One will be pleasing to all beings and respected by all. During special times, in the presence of special objects of veneration such as the guru and the Three Jewels, the accumulation of merit from offering a mandala once by one who possesses accomplishment is greater than making vast outer and inner offerings to all the Sugatas and their retinues for immeasurable eons. All wishes will be fulfilled. All accumulations of sins, obscurations, and faults accumulated from eon to eon will be purified and cleansed. After offering a mandala once, all prayers made with faith will be effortlessly fulfilled. Therefore, virtuous individuals of future generations, strive to offer mandalas. Thus it is said. In the White Lotus Sutra of the Sacred Dharma, it is said: If one throws a single flower into the sky with the Buddha as the object, then when wandering in samsara for as many eons as the invisible edge of the past, one will not find the edge of obtaining Indra and a Chakravartin. Thus it is said. A boy saw the Tathagata Blessed Protector (Bhagavān Puṇyarakṣita) going for alms in the village, and he was very devoted, so he scattered the only handful of peas he had to the Buddha, four fell into the begging bowl, and two fell on his chest. Relying on this merit, that boy later became a king named Mandhata, the ruler of the four continents and the four great kings, decreasing once every eight years, and during the alternating reigns of thirty-seven Indras, he possessed half of the throne of the Thirty-Three Gods.

If I may speak, since we have not been born into the classes of barbarians and unfree animals, etc., and at a time when we have obtained such a good and suitable human body with leisure and endowment, which occurs only once in a hundred times, who would not strive to cultivate such a profound Dharma, even for a short time? Even if the distractions of this life are too strong and the imprints of bad deeds are deeply ingrained, so that it is never possible to do so, at least like now, in front of the opened mandala and in front of the excellent Three Jewels, one must definitely offer tribute. As the great master said, "When remembering deities and gurus, in the midst of an ocean of sangha, and when Dharma increases, the mandala is the essence of all Dharma practices." Therefore, do not follow the lazy and bad example of deceiving oneself, but gather all the causes and conditions for all offerings from all directions, and contemplate the easy and great meaning. The Mandala Sutra also says, "If one performs the action of the body, the color will become like gold, one will be completely liberated from all diseases, one will be far superior to gods and humans, one will possess splendor like the moon, wealth and gold will be abundant, one will be born into the lineage of the Victorious Ones and the Buddhas, one will be born into the most excellent family." Therefore, from all the previous and subsequent scriptures, it is said that there is no greater merit than offering a mandala by stretching out one's hands. For the sake of all sentient beings, as infinite as space, who are like mothers, please strive to practice this, I join my palms at my heart (251) and pray to all those who share the same fortune. Thus, the arrangement of the mandala, both concise and extensive, has been explained. The second is the offering of the five desirable qualities, which is divided into two parts: the difference in the visualization of all appearances and sounds increasing into the goddesses of desirable qualities from the power of samadhi; and the explanation of the gestures of the mudras that combine word and meaning. The first part is: all the objects of the container and its contents that appear as form appear as Vajra Rupini, extremely beautiful, with the left hand holding a silver mirror that can reflect the mandala of the earring crystal ball; similarly, all the sounds that are emitted appear as Vajra Shabdamata, with two fists that can steal the pride of Bandha Rawa Great Joy.
