The desire of the Lord. Having entered the door of skillful means and wisdom, in the pure mandala of one's own continuum, one practices the four approaches and accomplishments. The great bliss of Ati Yoga is the Bodhicitta that transcends effort. Transcending effort is obscured by Maha. To practice Dzogchen with effort is said to fall into Maha Yoga. Anu desires the indivisible ground, having entered the door of the expanse and wisdom, for all phenomena that appear in this way, viewing the cause as the pure expanse, the result as the deity of the wisdom mandala. The great bliss of Ati Yoga is the Bodhicitta that transcends cause and effect. Transcending cause and effect is obscured by Anu. If Dzogchen observes both cause and effect, it is said to fall into Anu Yoga. Thus it is said. Then, one might wonder, why were those lower vehicles taught? Because impure samsara and the path, etc., are produced by the power of cause and effect, the classifications of the path that rely on cause and effect are mainly taught for the sake of those with middling faculties and below. Because there is no dharma of cause and effect in the meaning of the expanse's self-nature purity, this kind of naturally abiding meaning is taught to those with sharp faculties. And it is explained that there is no need to modify or change it. It also says in that [text]: There is no view, no meditation, no vows to keep, no ground to purify, no path to travel, no activity to seek, no empowerment to confer, no effort in the three doors, no mandala to create, no cause and effect, like the sky. And it says: Bodhicitta is primordially uncorrupted. It is primordially so, primordially without error. Without error, there is no attaching of truth or falsehood. Transcending cause, condition, result, and all effort. If, not understanding that what is done is finished and beyond effort, one thinks that accomplishment comes through effort, action, and meditation, there is no greater obstacle to Bodhi than that. Because it is said so. If that is the case, then since the impurities of the elements cannot be purified by profound practices of acceptance and rejection, will Buddhahood be attained simply by remaining like an ordinary person? An ordinary person cannot take direct appearances as the path, and because of not understanding that the way of abiding in reality is such, it abides as the basis for karma and habitual tendencies, and although the reality of self-nature luminosity is inherently present, like a treasure in a poor person's house, because one does not understand this, one can only watch as the nature of poverty remains unchanged.

Relying on the oral instructions of the Great Perfection master, all attachments to the present awareness are instantly severed. Seeing the truth of the spontaneously accomplished three bodies of self-nature, which fully possess the great qualities of the Buddha, there is no need to seek the Buddha elsewhere. The two aspects of abandonment and realization are completely different. As it is said in the "All-Good Longchen Six Methods": The stainless self-mind, and the non-conceptual self-awareness, are similar, similar, how wonderful! The unobstructed, clear and bright appearance, and the clinging to the thoughts of beings, are similar, similar, how wonderful! Not seeking, resting in meditation, and the relaxation of the channels, winds, and mind, are similar, similar, how wonderful! The object appearance of mindless awareness, and the delusion of the six realms of thought and memory, are similar, similar, how wonderful! Thus it is said. Therefore, the mind itself, the unwavering Dharmakaya Bodhicitta, is the pinnacle of the vehicle, the view of the Great Perfection of self-nature, the reality of the spontaneously accomplished three bodies, as stated in the "All-Creating King Tantra": O great Bodhisattva, listen! The Dharmakaya is Bodhicitta, Bodhicitta is the Dharmakaya, no one can alter it even by a particle. Therefore, the Buddha is not outside the mind. The Sambhogakaya is Bodhicitta, Bodhicitta is the Sambhogakaya, among the forms arising from the mind, there is no other body than the Sambhogakaya. The Nirmanakaya is Bodhicitta, from the emanation of Bodhicitta, the benefit of beings is accomplished, there is no other. All Buddhas of the three times are none other than Bodhicitta. The Buddhas of the past, without altering their own minds, have long seen and realized it. The Buddhas who are present now, this unaltered self-mind, because they have realized the unaltered self-mind as it is, are now also accomplishing the benefit of beings. The Buddhas who will appear in the future, this self-mind, the nature of Bodhicitta, was not prophesied to be altered in the past. Now, the mind in Samadhi is not altered, entering the path without alteration. It is also said: The mind is the thing as it is, all phenomena are accomplished as such. Do not alter what is as it is, do not cultivate anything other than the essence. If you seek, the Victorious Ones will not be found in the Dharmadhatu. What has been done in the past, there is no need to do now. What has been cultivated in the past, there is no need to cultivate now.
