Po. The very essence endowed with five wisdom characteristics, the way of abiding is accomplished by the manifestation of knowables. As it is said, its nature is, the inner clear manifestation is the basis of the Dharmakaya, the outer clear manifestation is the appearance of those to be tamed, the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya manifest to accomplish the benefit of beings, like the moon and its reflection, for the sake of taming those to be tamed, it is considered the manifestation of the path of no more learning. All are the Dharma of great purification, in the play of wisdom, they are of one taste, but the way of appearance and the essence are different, for the eye consciousness of all those to be tamed, it has not become an object of manifestation. This way is very important, and it is also a wonderful thing to put it as a basis for questioning. If you want to know the nature in detail, you should understand it in the last part of the Supreme Vehicle Ratnakosa. Then there is the tenth question, in the mind transmission of the Buddhas, are there words and letters? If not, where did these tantras come from? If there are, it contradicts the mind transmission. In response to this question, it is as follows: In general, all Dharmas do not completely go beyond the mind transmission. The supreme teacher, the fully enlightened Buddha, although considering the different thoughts of the three types of beings, taught the three vehicles, but in reality, he did not say a single word. In the Sutra of the Array of Merits, it says: "I have not said anything, but it appears extensively to sentient beings." This is its essence, the light of compassion of any mind transmission, in the discriminating consciousness of the listener, appears like a crystal pillar. The reason for this is in the Uttaratantra, just as sound and image are similar, arising from the discriminating consciousness of others, without discrimination and without fabrication. Thus, the speech of the Tathagata, without discrimination and without fabrication, does not exist in any place, inside or outside. Therefore, although it is the Dharma taught by the Buddha through mind transmission, it appears as words and sentences in the minds of those to be tamed. This is also not absolute, it has an inconceivable nature. Therefore, for the ancient secret mantras, those who with hesitant wisdom, utter noisy discriminating thoughts, still do not practice the Dharma, will they not return from the path of evil destinies? Specifically, the way the tantras arise is that the Dharmakaya speaks with its own essence, it is called the tantra that expresses the meaning, in which there are no words and letters. If divided, there are two types, the expedient tantra and the nature tantra, in reality they are two.

It is not so. In the Tantra King, the Garland of Pearls, it says, "From the difference of the essence of the single ground, method and nature are called continuum. Although it only appears as an imputation, the essence is the single ground, the nature is empty. It is not different and does not change. For example, if a person has many names, it appears as such no matter where you call from. The unchanging meaning is also the same." As it is said, this is the self-awareness bodhicitta that pervades all beings. Because it is eternally present, it is shown as the continuum. The Sambhogakaya is said to be half clear and pure. This is not from something else, but is shown as the self-manifestation of wisdom. The Nirmanakaya speaks well of the combination of words, gathered in the continuum of words that can express meaning. If we talk about categories, in the Reduction to Absurdity, seventeen kinds of essence of light are explained: self-arising, self-liberation, self-becoming, perfection of abilities, possessing beauty, subtle arrangement, garland of pearls, without letters, the mirror of heart and mind, union of sun and moon, introduction and display, burning of body relics, pile of jewels, burning lamp, and Longchen Rabjam. Thus, the six sons in order, from the Reduction to Absurdity, are definitely derived and appear to sentient beings who are to be tamed. Thus, the teacher of the three kayas, the essence of which is the same space, as the nature is said separately, with appearance, the names of the expressible of the three symbols of intention, sign, and language arise. In the Tantra of the Pile of Jewels, it also says, "The self-purified Dharmakaya of grasping, in the palace of non-elaboration self-purity, in the appearance of samsara and nirvana inseparable from oneself, with the word of no characteristics, the dharmas of non-elaboration, non-abiding self-exhaustion arise from the mind, in the state of not speaking and without speaking, it is shown in the great equality. The self-clear pure Sambhogakaya, from the palace of the five pure lights, with the word of non-elaboration great bliss, to the retinue of the five families, the dharmas of non-existent purity, taken from the mind of the five wisdoms combined, pure rays of light spread on the tongue, and also not spoken and shown as the great self-born. The Nirmanakaya without manifest attachment, from the self-nature of the Dharma-born to be tamed, to the fortunate ones awakened from the six realms, with the word of elaboration, the dharmas according to the inclinations of the senses, from the self-clear mind of remembrance, the tongue of non-attachment according to the senses."
