Taking oneself as the measure of the heap of Dharma, the Madhyamaka spiritual friends say: How much is the measure of one heap of Dharma? That one is emptiness in the form of verses. Each verse also has thirty-two letters. This is their view. And Nāgabodhi and others consider that any name of the Dharma, as light as the clothes of the gods, written on a grain of wheat or a palm leaf, using a part of the tip of a hair to write with ink, so light that an elephant cannot feel the weight, or according to some Mahayana views, written with ink on an object called "Elephant Stable," which is seven yojanas around, its size is enough for an elephant to carry, that can be considered a heap of Dharma. As it says in the Abhidharmakośa: "Some say that scriptures are the measure, aggregates and so on are also just a saying." Therefore, these are all measures established to counteract afflictions, determined according to quantity, not to be explained according to these numbers. Therefore, it is best to understand that it is established according to the completeness of the antidote. Continuing from the previous content, the sutra says: "For the antidote to various behaviors, the corresponding heap of Dharma is taught." This is the reason. The measure of the tantra section is: Kriya Tantra, Charya Tantra, Yoga Tantra, and both, and Yoga Mother Tantra, the names of these tantras are four thousand, four thousand, eight thousand, six thousand, and twelve thousand respectively, which is said in the Yeshe Dorje Kunjed. And the number of Yoga Mother Tantras is not mentioned there. In addition, it says in the Compendium of Teachings: "The number of Yoga Tantras is determined to be six hundred thousand kotis. Similarly, the number of Yoga Mother Tantras is determined to be one million six hundred thousand kotis. Similarly, the number of Prajnaparamita is five million kotis. Other sutras other than Mahayana are said to be eight million kotis." This is not just the definite number of verses, but the different names of sutras and tantras, the number is inconceivable. Like this, gathering the words and sentences of these teachings and making them into books, in Sanskrit it is called "Pustaka." If we talk about it from the perspective of Tantra, in Akanishta, Bodhisattvas enjoy the bliss of Dharma.

What is the nature of the expressive sound lineage? Here, from the fruit that resides in the mind, or from what the Thus-gone One has well spoken as a companion to generate it in the continuum, up to what is written in books, it is regarded as the very nature of the sound lineage of signs. Moreover, in the Treasury it is said: 'The eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, whatever the capable one has spoken, those are words or names, those are all included in form or formations.' Secondly, the cause that accomplishes it is letters, which have three aspects: the nature of letters, the definition, and the shape or form. Firstly, the teacher Chandra Gomi says in the Sutra of Letters: 'Letters arise from place, action, and effort.' Thus, when the wind, desiring to speak from the mind, stirs, and its place of origin and action meet together, some sounds of letters arise. In the Commentary on Valid Cognition it says: 'From the intentional consciousness of letters, when it arises, consciousness produces sound.' Secondly, in Sanskrit, Akshara (藏文:ཨ་ཀྵར།,梵文天城体:अक्षर,梵文罗马拟音:akṣara,汉语字面意思:immutable) appears, which means immutable, even if the differences in places become different, the vowels and consonants will not become other than that. Also, Vyanjana (藏文:བྱ་ཉྫ་ན།,梵文天城体:व्यञ्जन,梵文罗马拟音:vyañjana,汉语字面意思:manifestation) is called consonant, because after the letters are assembled, it clearly expresses whatever meaning is to be expressed. Thirdly, in the Extensive Play Sutra it says: the letters of Brahma, the letters of Aroshta, the letters of Lotus Heart (藏文:པདྨ་སྙིང་པོ།,梵文天城体:पद्मगर्भ,梵文罗马拟音:padmagarbha,汉语字面意思:lotus womb), the letters of Mangagadha, the letters of auspiciousness, the letters of fingers, the letters of Shakana, the letters of Yavanas, the letters of Bagaleva, the letters of Sarusha, the letters of walking and swaying, the letters of Tai, the letters of the South, the letters of violence, the letters of numbers, the letters of general form, the letters of conformity, the letters of Brusha, the letters of Kasha, the letters of China, the letters of Puna, the letters of Huna, the letters of medium, the letters written in victory, the letters of the king, the letters of the gods, the letters of the nagas, the letters of yakshas, the letters of gandharvas, the letters of kinnaras, the letters of great belly, the letters of asuras, the letters of garudas, the letters of the Khonlopa of wild animals.
