Because of diligent effort, it is for the sake of realizing those two. The Abhidhamma says: Skilled in thoroughly establishing subtle words. Like that, the wisdom arising from the Dharma of the three pitakas liberates. How does it liberate? The wisdom of hearing leaves similar imprints on the realm of Dharma, equating it with great words. The wisdom of thinking understands the meaning of that and that as a way of practice. The wisdom of meditation, by focusing the meaning of hearing and thinking single-mindedly in the mind, generates the cause of insight, the samadhi of calm abiding, in the continuum. This pacifies the afflictions of the mind, and the nature of insight, the ultimate truth, is realized as it is, thereby attaining liberation. As the Ornament of the Sutras says: The collection of Sutras and Abhidhamma is the self, in short, the meaning is considered to be fourfold. If a wise person knows these, they will attain omniscience. Fourth, the division from the perspective of those to be tamed: there is expanding into four pitakas, and also condensing into two, so it is not absolute. If it is divided into four pitakas according to the first way, then the basis of the name is the Vidyadhara Mantra Pitaka. On this, Acharya Abhayakaragupta said that because it teaches the three trainings, it is all three pitakas. Acharya Shantipa said that because it gathers and teaches profound meanings, it is the Sutra Pitaka. Although it is established as a direct teaching even if measured by the name basis of the Vajra Destroyer and the Compendium of Intentions Sutra, here Acharya Aryadeva separately lists the Vidyadhara Pitaka, following the statement of dividing into four pitakas, because it is for the sake of the meaning spoken to the pure disciples, and because there are many methods, few difficulties, and it is spoken for those with sharp faculties. Which scripture proves that? In the King of Sutra Instructions Empowerment Sutra, it says: The three vehicles of guidance, the Bhagavan has certainly spoken. Why has the definitive vehicle, which practices cause and effect spontaneously and does not seek from other Buddhas, not been spoken? And, after the wheel of causal Dharma, which has faith in the cause, has been greatly turned, the near path of the Vajra Vehicle will appear in the future.

It is because it is taught as such. Furthermore, when considering the arrangement into two, the Ornament says, "Two are also acceptable," which means that based on the disposition of the disciples, two collections are established: the Hearers' Collection and the Bodhisattvas' Collection. Among them, the Hearers' Collection is for the purpose of taming disciples with inferior minds who are inclined towards the small path. The Bodhisattvas' Collection is for the purpose of taming individuals with superior minds who are inclined towards the great path. The difference between the two is that, in terms of the collections, the twelve divisions of scripture in the Hinayana tradition and the seven treatises of Abhidharma, etc., are the Hearers' Collection. The Prajnaparamita, which is the fame of those paths, and the extensive collections such as the Avatamsaka are the Bodhisattvas' Collection. The distinguishing characteristic of the latter is stated in the Lankavatara Sutra: "The five dharmas and the three self-natures, the eight consciousnesses and the two selflessnesses, all of the Mahayana is contained within these." Furthermore, from the perspective of the path and the result, Lord Maitreya says: "The great object and likewise, the two practices of speech and wisdom, diligence, initiation, and skillful means, as well as the great true accomplishment, and the great activity of the Buddhas, because it possesses the seven greatnesses, it is definitely called the Mahayana." If that kind of superior Mahayana is divided, there are the causal Paramita, which is said for the purpose of taming disciples with dull faculties who are inclined to make the cause the path, and the Secret Mantra Vajrayana, which is said for the purpose of taming disciples with sharp faculties who are inclined to make the result the path. As it is said in the Sutra Compendium of Intentions: "The three vehicles of guidance, in what order are they established? Acting with equality, without acceptance or rejection, not seeking enlightenment from elsewhere, the supreme means immeasurable, it has not been said to be the definitive vehicle." Among these, here, the Secret Mantra Vajrayana is specifically explained, and there are two points: which is superior among the causal vehicles, and the explanation of the distinctive Secret Mantra itself. The first part is divided into two: a brief statement of the general consensus of the proponents of philosophical systems, and the words of the Second Victor, Omniscient
