Great beings do not make the ten non-virtuous actions and the five heinous crimes as aids to the path of practice in any way. Likewise, they do not abandon other righteous teachings well-spoken by the Tathagata. Wherever they see those who should be tamed, evil people who are dominated by others' wrong views, who have no fear of the root downfalls that violate the Sugata's teachings, who disguise great actions as Dharma, and claim that this is to refute evil mantras, then, whether in the new or old schools, one should refute these people, because refuting evil mantras is contradictory in terms of the basis and what is based on it. Furthermore, if someone says that because the scriptures explicitly mention words such as subjugation and liberation, it is an evil mantra, then these people generally misunderstand the teachings of tantra, and in particular, in the sixteenth chapter of the Guhyasamaja Root Tantra, which they themselves recite, it says: "You should kill living beings, you should also speak false words, you should also take what is not given, you should also associate with women, through these vajra paths, you should incite all sentient beings." They do not understand this according to the intention of the scriptures, but put it into practice, engaging in violent actions, speaking false words, stealing others' wealth through trade and other means, and even among the new schools, there are many who wish to continue the lineage of their families until samsara is empty. Like this, in contrast to those householders who are greedy for worldly pleasures, the former Brahmins and others had a strong attachment to pure asceticism, they considered the impurities of this life and so on to be disgusting, and they had little interest in sensual indulgence or natural sexual practices, thus hindering their wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating. They merely regard white stones, washing utensils, and the absence of defilement as the basis of morality, and they unhesitatingly engage in warfare, royal judgments, collecting taxes, agricultural production, gambling, destroying the wealth of competitors, inflicting punishments of life and property on subjects, and so on. For these people, because they are in the degenerate age of the five declines, they do not feel sad about the essential decay of the Dharma.

Who can refute the acts that violate discipline? If doubt arises about what is said, then the emptiness of Dharmadhatu is undeniable, as it is without refutation. If someone says this is the place of establishment of the vehicle, as it is said in the Sutra Requested by Da Pung: "The secret mantra is declared in the form of Sutra, listen!" And in the Sutra of Destruction: "With the glory of this Sutra." These two mentions point to the Sutra rather than the Tantra. Although objections are raised against the classification of the nine mother tantras, which have summarized all Sutras and Tantras as the treasury of vidyadharas, the doctrine of ultimate enlightenment is complete. What is there to refute that is not established? If it is said that everything should not become a vehicle, then the Lankavatara Sutra says: "As far as the mind goes, the boundary of the vehicle cannot be attained." How should the meaning of this sentence be understood? If it is said again that it is because of the difference in views, then where is it declared that the ladder of establishing views is? Even if only the term of view is established in the order of practice, view is not necessarily practice, but there must be view in the emptiness of practice. Therefore, for the superior wise ones, view and practice are non-dual. If it is said again that there is no difference between Sutra and Tantra in terms of view, then the way of abiding is such, but the way of practice has a great difference. The equality of Dharmadhatu, which is pure in nature, the great perfection of luminosity, the unchangeable wisdom, and the two that eliminate the extremes of permanence and annihilation through conceptualization, and are in the position of taking and abandoning cessation, mind, and mental factors, and the non-conceptual that is originally self-established, and the difference produced through effort, there is a great difference, so it is established as profound yoga. As Indra Bhuti said: "It is superior through the difference of the guru, and the difference of vessel, ritual, action, vow, the view of practice, and behavior." This is very clear. Even if practicing from the perspective of Jowo (Atisha), the Lotus Peak Sutra says: "The nature of the stainless Dharmadhatu, complete with the basis of the three bodies of wisdom, when purity is that, when self-luminous light manifests, when the similar is used as the path, it is called the true word of the fruit vehicle." Therefore, after understanding the characteristics of the Dharmadhatu nature as the fruit that originally exists, learning it itself, or relying on the generation stage and the completion stage, the sudden dirt.
