For example, because it is primordial liberation, it is naturally liberated. Because it is self-abiding, antidotes cannot abide. Because it is the fruit, it is integrated without effort. As it is said in the *All-Creating King Tantra*: "Abiding in its own state, it is unmoving and spontaneously accomplished. Abiding in its own nature, it cannot be altered by anyone. That which abides in the ground, unaltered and as it is, is taught as the supreme activity of the All-Creating King, which is without action." And as it is said in the *Doha*: "That which is liberated in an instant is called the Dharmakaya. To say that there is a great bliss other than that liberation is like the water of a mirage, even if spoken by children." Third, all eight stages are merely fabricated by the mind, so they are only deviations from the ground. Like this, by clinging to the extreme of existence with the extreme of non-existence, one deviates into nihilism. By clinging to the extreme of non-existence with the extreme of existence, one deviates into an apparent emptiness. Because of clinging to the knowledge of equality between existence and non-existence, one ends up encountering the obstruction of deviation. As it is said in the *All-Creating King Tantra*: "The essence of all dharmas is the one bodhicitta. By enumerating the one into many, deviation and confusion arise. By walking where there is no path, a place of deviation arises. By looking without an object, an unseen obstruction arises." Here, because one is free from the mind that clings to value and non-value, memory does not abide between one's own continuum. In the uncreated nature of reality, the great primordial emptiness, there is no bondage or liberation of partiality. Although it appears as impure, it is not truly established from the perspective of appearance, so it is integrated into the nature that transcends arising sensations. As it is said in the same text: "Realizing 'I' and 'mine' is the mistaken path of the tirthikas. The practice of dharma deceived by children falls into the path of conceptualization. Since there is no past time and no time of conceptualization, how can the nature of reality become the attainment of seeking dharma?" Then, if all vehicles are the tenets of the mind, what is the dharma that transcends the mind? As it is said in the *Konchok Taledo Sutra*: "The Tathagata is the ever-unborn dharma. All dharmas are like the Sugata. Those who have the minds of children and cling to signs practice a dharma that does not exist in the world." This should be understood as the meaning. Fourth, because one realizes that the mind has no inherent existence, the basis of samsara and nirvana collapses, which is called the collapse of the foundation. Like this, the nature of the ground, the essence of reality, is the great expanse free from elaboration. Because one recognizes the meaning of being uncreated, the spontaneously accomplished sound is liberated into non-arising. The unceasing play pervades all directions.

Because in the vast expanse of clarity, there is no basis for karma and habitual tendencies, the two ripened results of white and black do not arise. At that time, it is not known how both nirvana, which is considered beneficial by virtue, and samsara, which is considered harmful by sin, come to be. As it says in the 'Lion's Roar Perfection': 'Self-awareness is primordially immutable, the two, virtue and sin, do not bind me. For that which is without self-originated cause and condition, there is no need to practice contrived dharma.' So, one might ask, from where do these powerful dharmas that appear as samsara and nirvana arise from the ripening of the two, virtue and sin? For those who have not realized this, the mind is deluded, and appearance is generated as samsara and nirvana. And by regarding the nature of the generated delusion as self, good and bad karma arise, as well as the corresponding habitual tendencies, even though they do not inherently exist. The sutras say that even nirvana is like a dream, like an illusion. In the 'Inquiry of the Noble Near-Circle', it says: 'I have shown the terror of the hell of the mind, and although I have made countless beings weary, those beings who die and transmigrate to the lower realms, those migrations never existed. Those who wield swords, great arrows, and weapons to inflict harm also do not exist; when the body falls, there are no weapons there. Various pleasing flowers bloom, and golden palaces blaze, captivating the mind, but here too, there is no agent; these are established by the power of thought. By the power of thought, all worlds are measured, and by the grasping of consciousness, fools are distinguished. Grasping and non-grasping have not arisen either; it is entirely thought, like illusion and mirage.' Fifth, because the nature of self-originated wisdom is not established in anything, it pervades all of samsara and nirvana without partiality. However, because appearance is not conceptualized, it is not limited to things. It is not limited to emptiness as non-existence. It is not both, so it does not fall into the category of union. Its essence is emptiness, so it is free from the extreme of permanence. The display of its energy is unceasing, so it is free from the extreme of annihilation. Because it does not conceptualize objects, it is outer emptiness. Because it does not grasp at the subject, it is inner emptiness. Because it does not impute anything to either, it is emptiness of emptiness. The view that transcends the perspective of grasping at the characteristic and the nature of phenomena, like the sky, is called great emptiness, which is the Great Perfection of self-nature.
