It is like proclaiming that buffaloes have horns, so elephants and lions, etc., are also only horned. Why is that? Because in the initial stage, all views, meditations, actions, and results rely on the mundane path of truth that is purely intellectual speculation, and it must be accomplished through it. Therefore, in order for the vehicle to be true in its own place, the tenets are established in this way down to Anuyoga, but it is all in vain. Here, in the context of showing the extraordinary completion stage of the noble path, because of being afraid of the great words describing the Dharmadhatu as beyond cause and effect, effort and accomplishment, and not making various affirmations and negations that are obvious and not obvious, it is merely showing off one's realization of not having seen the profound truth of one's own nature. Like this, in order to accomplish the resultant Rupakaya, such a cause is not necessary, because the ultimate nature of the Buddha is the Dharmakaya. As it is said: "Those who see me in form, those who know me in sound, those people have entered the wrong path, those people cannot see me. The Buddhas are the Dharmakaya." Do not think that such a Dharmakaya does not have awareness, as it is said in the Manjushri Tantra: "Although the face of wisdom does not have eyes, ears, and nose, the clarity of wisdom knows unreal things as real." Thus, if one obtains the Dharmakaya that possesses the three doors of liberation, then from that, the way in which the adornment of liberation appears as the Rupakaya is self-arisen: "From the state of emptiness, the sun of awareness arises, from the great mandala of the inexhaustible treasure, the unchanging five bodies arise, enjoying non-duality in the state of non-discrimination." If it is not understood in this way, then even the images of Samsara and Nirvana that appear from the state of Dharmata, which is nothing, cannot appear. Therefore, in order to obtain a good rebirth, one must practice the body of a good rebirth, and in order to obtain a bad rebirth, one must practice the body of a bad rebirth, which is too extreme. Therefore, Lhundrup Dorje Nyingpo, by making awareness the path, makes one accustomed to the way things truly are. Like this, direct awareness is free from all elaborations, so it is already established as Buddhahood from the beginning, just like the nature of the sun has no brightness or dimness. The stages shown as an antidote to small minds.

The eighth, with regard to the mind that is mixed with the clinging aggregates of the eight consciousnesses, do not cling to the generation and completion stages with signs, but rather rely on the cause and condition of purifying defilements with defilements, just as one wishes to see the sun, there is such a difference. Therefore, with regard to self-arisen wisdom, do not allow the faults of the view, meditation, conduct, and result of other-arisen conceptual thoughts to seep in; this should be ascertained. As it says in the *All-Creating King* (Kun byed): "The single dharma, the essence of bodhicitta, with the three samadhis and five kinds of rituals, on the vajra body of one's own lineage, which is pure, having meditated on the deities of the four approaches, making appearances without inherent existence, having searched and accomplished, having transformed one's own mind into a deity, even so, one does not see one's own mind as uncreated. With regard to the dharma-nature of one's own bodhicitta, even the teacher who teaches the *All-Creating King* said, 'One's own mind is primordially liberated in its dharma-nature,' he did not prophesy meditation on the three teachers. If one searches for meditation and accomplishment, it is abandoning one's own mind. O great being, if you wish to accomplish your own mind, it is accomplished through non-desire. Therefore, do not abide in non-conceptual equality. In the realm of non-acceptance and rejection, nature abides. In the state of non-movement, abide in the state of suchness. The mind is the essence of suchness, all dharmas are accomplished in suchness. Do not fabricate suchness. Do not accomplish anything other than essence. If you search, even the Victorious Ones will not find it in the expanse. Because it has already been done before, there is no need to do it now. Because it has already been accomplished before, there is no need to accomplish it now." And so on. When meditating in this way, the mistaken views and meditations that exist within one's own school, thinking that whatever thought arises is self-arisen wisdom, this is because one has not recognized the dharma-nature of awareness, and is wandering in the direction of samsara in skills and play. Thoughts are other-arisen from habitual tendencies, therefore they follow after objects. Because they can be broken and destroyed from the appearing objects, they grasp at form. Feeling craves and experiences the nature of this and that. Perception moves and analyzes phenomena. Volition continuously creates contaminated mental streams. Consciousness grasps at objects, covering self-arisen wisdom. Even if one thinks that one is not distracted, abiding in the continuous recollection of mind and mental factors, in reality, mind towards mind is filled with thoughts and deliberations.
