Regarding the view to be realized in relation to the self-nature free from elaboration, and the realizers who realize its self-nature through wisdom, both are equal in truth or falsehood, because self-nature is not established, like a rabbit's horn and the child of a barren woman. They are merely falsely established in language, but in reality, there is no thought or notion, no thinking it is, no conceptualization, just like moxibustion that hits the point. As the Garuda says: There is no Buddha, who is the cause of bondage? Delusion and ignorance, who has them among sentient beings? There is no name either. Therefore, it is originally not liberated, and later liberation does not appear. The path without a basis, who desires its fruit? Because of desire, this obscures the place of liberation. The upper end is clear, the nature of being and non-being, permanence and annihilation, cause and effect, are the basis of all tantras. Boundless, it is equal to the realm of space. In terms of distinctions, there are scattered words, dialogues, and what is taught in the tantric self-commentary. The first is that, for the wisdom that is free from mind, there is no separation or modification, so no artificiality is added. In the nature of ultimate truth, there are no two truths and no cause and effect, so it is free from the dependence of new liberation. The three bodies appear on the path, not relying on other objects of knowledge, so there is nothing that is not liberated. The second is that what is said in the manner of dialogue, its essence is not delusion, its nature is cutting off the root of conceptualization, and it is free from clinging to characteristics. In terms of distinctions, the dialogue of dismissing all the hired workers is the vital pulse, the wind of the pulse's essence, and the mind of the wind's essence dissolves into dharmata, so the source of wisdom, the key flow that connects meaning, door, and three, is liberated in itself, thus cutting off the speech of samsara and nirvana. The timeless dialogue is because there is nothing unsaid in the realm, so it pervades samsara and nirvana. Because emptiness has no clinging, the essence has no change. Because there is no artificiality in both, it is the wisdom that abides in its own place. The third is that the pith instructions of the tantric self-commentary have no acceptance or rejection for samsara and nirvana. Dharmata does not abide in words and letters, so emptiness cannot be touched by terms. In terms of distinctions, the unity of view, practice, and conduct pervades the basis of freedom from elaboration. There is no good or bad in karma, so the three realms appear as completely liberated. Self-nature appears as emptiness and clarity, so there is no benefit or harm of good and evil. There are no letters on the characteristics, so one cannot become a Buddha through various vehicles, so all senses are liberated simultaneously and instantly.

Oh! There are two distinctions: considering the view of apparent attachment as inaction, and condensing the mind's thoughts and conceptions into non-arising. The first is: because there is no Dharma-nature in its essence, even the name of Buddha cannot be established; because there is no cessation in its nature, samsara appears as distinct, and because it does not abide in a single characteristic, there is no measure for view and meditation. The second is: because the essence is pure in non-arising, afflictions dissolve without a basis; although it arises without ceasing in its nature, it is free from actions and efforts of acceptance and rejection; because its characteristic is primordial liberation, the source of samsara and nirvana collapses. At these times, eliminating the heat of view and meditation in the manner of bloodletting and dispelling obstacles is: when the view wavers, one knows the flaws of samsara; when the view is attained, the body and speech gain warmth; when the view is stable, samsara and nirvana are distinguished; when meditation is nourished, wind and mind are brought under control; when meditation is attained, the mind enters the path; when meditation is mature, the power of awareness is perfected. When conduct wavers, there are no taboos in conduct; when conduct is attained, illusion is overwhelmed; when conduct is stable, the warmth of the three kayas is obtained. Therefore, view eliminates the obstacles of Dharma-nature, so one can attain Buddhahood even without relying on Dharma; meditation eliminates the obstacles of fleeting thoughts, so all thoughts and feelings arise as meditation; conduct eliminates the obstacles of appearances, so the conditions of appearance are liberated into Dharma-nature. Thus, the three of view, meditation, and conduct, sometimes one is hidden and two are manifested, and sometimes two are hidden and one is manifested, and so on. Such terms are known because of the clinging to the apprehended and the apprehender, and the extremely profound instruction of forgetting the recognition of objects at the essential point, thereby thoroughly revealing awareness. For example, like the reasoning of the Middle Way school, such as the vajra sliver and existence/non-existence, arising/cessation, and so on. Such profound categories of instructions have an outer circle like the body, an inner circle like the eye, a secret circle like the heart, and an ultimate secret unsurpassed circle like complete perfection. As it says in "The Lamp That Illuminates": The outer circle is like the body, extensively explaining terms; the inner circle is like the eye, what is seen is the Dharma of symbols; the secret circle is like the heart, what is remembered is the Dharma of essence; this is like a person with a completely perfect body. Among them, the outer circle is: because afflictions are not established in essence, the five poisons are transformed into the path; because there is no effort or accomplishment in nature, whatever appears is the adornment of Dharma-nature.
