The way it becomes a fault of non-existence. As previously stated: For those who possess all commitments, the teacher has previously said: All of this is just a biased view, in order to completely prove everything with conceptual mind, it will cause the fault of having no end. Isn't this something that should be understood? What the teacher said is the same as before. Thus. Seventh, it is also unreasonable to think that the basis is diverse. If the diversity is considered to be an external appearance, then the fault of the single basis appearing as many cannot be avoided. If it is considered to be internal awareness, then just as awareness generates thoughts, the basis will also become something that generates thoughts. If it is considered to be a combination of the two, then the basis is also related to the object grasped externally and the mind that clings internally, because there is interdependence between them, so it cannot be a single dharmadhatu. As previously stated: The teacher previously said it was variegated, which is not in accordance with direction and fire. The nature of the previous is appearance, the fruits are different, the meaning is said in this way. Because of the decay caused by multiple sounds, isn't this something that should be understood? What is said is also the same. Thus. Therefore, these seven bases are like clinging to the knowledge of the end, clinging to each aspect of understanding wisdom, like many blind people describing the shape of an elephant. As it says in the Essence Sutra: The king gathered many blind people and showed them an elephant, and ordered them to describe the characteristics of the elephant individually. Those who touched the elephant's trunk said: It's like a hook. Those who touched the eyes said: It's like a bowl. Those who touched the ears said: It's like a winnowing basket. Those who touched the back said: It's like a palanquin. Those who touched the tail said: It's like a rope. What the blind people said was not not the elephant, but they did not fully understand it. Similarly, the nature of the Buddha, although it is said to be emptiness, illusion, luminosity, etc., is not fully understood. Like this. Second, acknowledging that the basis of primordial purity and spontaneous perfection is without fault: Here, the essence is pure from the beginning, the qualities are spontaneously perfect, neither one nor different. Because it is free from the elaboration of things and characteristics, it is primordially pure. Because it is deeply clear and without obstruction, it is spontaneously perfect. That is to say, because the essence is primordially pure, from the perspective of emptiness, things

And because it is not formed by names and characteristics, but is spontaneously accomplished by its own nature, from the perspective of appearance, it is thoroughly clear and unobstructed, thus also abandoning the extremes of permanence and annihilation. As it says in the "Six Spaces": "The essence is pure from the beginning, spontaneously accomplished in its own nature." And in the "String of Pearls": "The essence is pure from the beginning, free from expression, spontaneously accomplished and appearance is complete." If so, if the tantras establish seven bases, wouldn't this become eight? If someone asks this. Although primordial purity and spontaneous accomplishment are divided into two functions, since they are contained by one collection, there is no contradiction in number. When these two are different entities, if it is primordial purity, it will not know delusion; if it is spontaneous accomplishment, it will not know change, so it cannot be the basis for the arising of samsara and nirvana, because the opposites are not mixed and the essence has the ability to abandon single qualities. If someone thinks that these two are different, and says: If you have proven that the respective states of primordial purity and spontaneous accomplishment are flawed, then wouldn't there also be the fault of contradictory entities on one basis here? Answer: From the perspective of emptiness, it is primordial purity of ultimate truth, and from the perspective of appearance, it is spontaneous accomplishment of relative truth. These are just nominal designations, and there is no difference in entity, just as a Brahmin is a person, but is also established from the perspective of caste. Therefore, it is not that one basis contradicts the entity, just as knowing when approaching sleep and during sleep. The essence is primordial purity, so it has not experienced samsara, and in the play of spontaneous accomplishment, anything appears. As it is said, from the aspect of the essence being pure from the beginning, it is impossible to be deluded into sentient beings, but from the play or function of spontaneous accomplishment, it appears that way, and there is no contradiction. For example, from approaching sleep to the state of being asleep, there is no dream in the knowing aspect where the eighty natural thoughts have ceased, but in the appearing aspect where the radiance of offerings is carried by the wind, it appears as a dream. So, is the so-called basis of delusion considered to be the Tathagatagarbha, or ignorance with its causes? If it is considered the former, then the Buddha's intention would become associated with delusion. If it is considered the latter, then the essence of delusion cannot be found. Answer: The essence of primordial purity is the Tathagatagarbha, so it has never been deluded, will not be deluded, and will not become deluded. But the function of spontaneous accomplishment, because it has the Alaya and the eight consciousnesses, if one does not recognize one's own face, one will be deluded.
