The absence of the appearance of characteristics that are contrary to objects, and from the perspective of the subject, eliminating the root of the cause and effect of existence by being free from ignorance, is called the view of equality of the three times. As stated in the Ornament for Clear Realization: 'The edge of the water's shore is not the end, they do not dwell in between, the equality of all times is called wisdom, it is considered the perfection of wisdom.' Such a view, when hypothetically posited by intelligence and thinking mind, the mind's substantial clinging bound by the limits of sectarian positions cannot be reversed by anything other than the sharp reasoning of the consequentialist school. Therefore, understanding the view of bliss through mental discrimination of sound consciousness and the object of attachment, and when proving it without contradicting the path of words, it is like the Madhyamaka-Prasaṅgika. However, even so, in the state of inner equipoise, hearing is the residue of words, understanding is conceptualization, and experience has become a guess. Therefore, the meaning of emptiness that is explained by the collection of intelligence, the intention of the intermediate turning of the wheel, is to view emptiness without seeing any negation, and to meditate on the nature of reality in which nothing is ascertained. The way of abiding in its nature is to rely on the blessings of the guru and the means of secret instructions, and from the wisdom arising from meditation of the Great Perfection of Naturalness, to realize the last of the three vidyās manifestly. Among these, the three vidyās are stated in the Mahāyāna sutras: the divine eye vidyā, the vidyā of remembering previous existences, and the vidyā of the exhaustion of defilements. Vidyā is called wisdom. Among the three categories thus shown, the meaning of the latter is that the dharmatā of vidyā, which transcends the eight aggregates of consciousness with thought, speech, cause, and effect, abides in the primordial wisdom of the Great Perfection of Naturalness. As the Self-Arisen states: 'Emaho! Great Perfection Ati, does not fall to any side, self-arisen wisdom acts on meaning. For example, a ferocious lion, overpowers with the strength of its claws. Great Perfection speaks its own language, overpowering the lesser vehicles. Great Perfection speaks its own language and abides in its own meaning. In the realm of Great Perfection, there are no Buddhas or sentient beings. On the basis of Great Perfection, there is no good or bad. On the path of Great Perfection, there is no near or far. On the fruit of Great Perfection, there is no attainment or non-attainment. In the body of Great Perfection,

I am not without. In the teachings of Dzogchen, there is no translation and no non-translation. In the mind of Dzogchen, there are no things and no characteristics. In the expanse of Dzogchen, there is no exhaustion and no emptiness. In the state of Dzogchen, there is no high and no low. In the Dharma of Dzogchen, there is no practice and no non-practice. In the potential of Dzogchen, there is no completion and no non-completion. In the play of Dzogchen, there is no arising and no non-arising. In the meaning of Dzogchen, there is no meditation and no non-meditation. In the awareness of Dzogchen, there is no high and no non-high. The wisdom of Dzogchen enjoys all-encompassing vastness. In the limit of Dzogchen, there is no pointing to "this." In the meaning of Dzogchen, there are no words and no letters. The view of the King of Dzogchen abides as it is. Without words and letters, one practices in the meaning of Dzogchen. Without clarity, obscuration, grasping, or conceptualization, the power of self-arising bliss. In the meaning of Dzogchen, there is no such abiding. Thus it is said. The essence of that view is the noble truth, the self-cognizant wisdom that is separate from the duality of grasper and grasped. It is equivalent to and endowed with the Dharmakaya of the Buddha to be realized. As it is said in the Noble Cloud of Jewels Sutra: Question: What is meant by "Thatness"? Answer: "Thatness" is the supreme word of true meaning. This is the self-awareness of each individual, which cannot be designated by words and letters. Why? Because it transcends all realms of speech, expression, and thought, it is the realm of noble wisdom, abiding as it has always been. Thus, the actual meaning of all the verses has also been clearly shown. Those who have not understood in this way, with discipline accompanied by misconduct, or with a mind that holds views as supreme, fixate on individually discriminating wisdom as merely an object of sound and concept, thereby denigrating the great wisdom that is beyond expression and beyond mind, and clinging exclusively to the meditative stabilization of lower vehicles' speculation, reviling the tantras and agamas that teach the great completion stage of the noble path, this is a manifestation of the mind being disturbed by bewilderment, as it is said in the Sutra on Inciting Excellent Intention: Maitreya, those who are satiated and arrogant due to much learning, being separated from proper attention in accordance with the truth, the mind-stream has become bewildered, separated from shamatha and vipashyana, and denigrating the excellent Dharma of the Buddha.
