It is accomplished by the descent. The appearance of compassion is: Like the appearance of emptiness, the clarity is unceasing; without elaboration, there is great elaboration; the nature is unceasing, the variety is uncertain and great; in clarity there is no darkness; because it is unceasing, it is great non-existence; because of the descent, it is increasing, therefore it is great all-holding; because it is unmixed, it is great universal appearance; pervading all Therefore, it is a great unity; in purity, the non-cessation of confusion is great; in perfection, the single appearance is great. The meaning of compassion abides without ceasing. Thus it is said. Moreover, if measured from the aspect of the essence of original purity, that is neither Buddha nor sentient being; neither one nor other, neither end nor middle; neither increasing nor annihilation, not a thing; it is the one means of unborn and three appearances. If this is not realized by the wisdom arising from meditating on the realm of meaning, although it is difficult to measure with the intellect arising from thought, for the time being, from the aspect of the wisdom of hearing, because it is the tantra of oral instructions, although it is not analyzed, it is clear only from the understanding of the words, as it is said in the Garland of Pearls which clarifies: In the essence of the naturally abiding nature, there is no Buddha and no sentient being, there is no ignorance and no confusion, there is no mind and no existence of mind, there is no enemy and no friend, and no relatives, there are no afflictions and no self-grasping, there is no going and no coming, there is no dharma and no appearance as dharma, there is no means and wisdom itself is also not, there are no aggregates and no elements, there is no mother and no object to be grasped, there are no faculties and no objects, there is no grasper and no grasped, there is no body and wisdom itself is also not, there is no knower and no object of knowledge, there is no light and no color, there is no sound and no smell, etc., there is no desire and no attachment, there is no realm and no palace, there is no deity and it transcends the object of offering. Thus it is said. Moreover, in the Self-Arisen it is said: In that great original purity of the first ground, there is no thought, no ignorance, no mind, no intention, no grasping. It is also like this: Uninterrupted wisdom, spontaneously accomplished Buddha, dharma-nature free from elaboration, awareness free from extremes, appearance of great purity, the view of impartiality abides. It is also vast, the unchanging clarity of wisdom does not cease, the dharma-nature of bindus that cannot be robbed in various ways. The five lights of wisdom that are not scattered externally and abide spontaneously do not cease and are clear, it is the body and wisdom of

Abiding in the essence. Thus it is said. That is to say, with "no thought, no ignorance, no mind, no grasping," etc., the door of samsara, including the eight consciousnesses of the base consciousness, is blocked. With "unobstructed wisdom" and "spontaneously accomplished Buddha," etc., the nature of reality free from elaboration is well established, and it is also blocked to think that the nature of original purity is a nihilistic emptiness. Measured from the aspect of self-nature spontaneous accomplishment, it is vast and unobstructed. Narrow and not falling into extremes. Although the appearance of body and wisdom, etc., is blurred in the inner clear path, when the outer conditions are not scattered, and the spontaneously accomplished precious casket is shaken, it appears outward, so it is not inner. Although it appears, it does not change from within, so it is not outer. Both inner and outer are only nominal, so neither inner nor outer, it is the realm of spontaneously dense arrangement. The five root life-winds, and the five aggregates of body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities arising from them, that is, five groups of five, and all such as the five wisdoms and the five lights, are the basis of dream appearance, or the place of reliance is subtle and constantly unbearable, increasing and decreasing, and neither empty nor full. From the aspect of dissolving into the realm, nothing is established. From the aspect of being unobstructed, it appears in various ways. From Self-Arisen it says: That realm is also unobstructed, not falling into extremes, without decrease, without emptiness, without fullness, with clarity, it is the place where many bodies appear, it is the nature of all vastness. Thus it is said. Also, in the "Six Spaces," it says: Here there is no appearance as a sense, because the substantial signs are self-purified, it dwells in the ground of great profound clarity, empty with pervasion and pervasiveness, in the appearance without cessation after breaking, the part of the manifesting appearance does not cease, the essence of all heart is gathered, immaculate and self-purified, in the great secret of the Buddhas, it abides in the part of self-nature. Thus it is said. Measured from the aspect of both, the essence is free from all extremes of elaboration such as existence and non-existence, so the original purity where the nature of reality has not been separated, the self-nature is without cessation, so the spontaneous accomplishment where body and wisdom are inseparable, great compassion is without cessation, so the appearance of activities pervading all activities, in the manner of abiding in the self-nature inseparable from the self-nature of the three bodies and one. In the *Thalgyur* it says: The essence is the wisdom of original purity, there is no name of ignorance, nor is there a name of existence, there is no number of one and two, by analysis there is no meaning, there is no establishment, where not
